Tottenham clear big hurdle in Van de Ven pursuit

Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven as they close in on a deal they are confident can be finalised soon. However, the Londoners have not agreed a fee with the Bundesliga club following talks over the last week. Tottenham are willing to pay £25million for the Holland Under-21 international, 22, while Wolfsburg hold out for around £30m.
