And he's right so of course he would.......... Literally everyone who ought to know is saying it. I mean come on, what's he supposed to say when asked about Krul?

The guy had a blinder. The double save was outstanding. The only people i've seen belittling, or writing off Krul's display are those with an AVB axe to grind and its a shame they have to resort to that to get their kicks in when there are more valid reasons for complaint. Its just wrong.

How many of our shots were side netting bound right into the corners? None from memory. For me he made one outstanding save which was from the deflected fk but the others you would expect a good keeper to make. I don't think he will ever face so many shots in one game within his reach.

The headline could equally be 'Keeper Krul hails Spurs' ability to shoot straight at him'

Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul has hailed Tottenham Hotspur's array of poor shots on Sunday, which saw them hit the ball straight at his face in an incredible 11 of their 14 attempts on target.

"It was amazing", said Krul after the game. "I've never seen a team able to hit so many shots straight at me. It was like their finishing was rubbish or something. Apart from that header from Soldado I had to really stretch for, which I thought was a bit out of order, they managed to get the ball within a foot of my torso every time. Soldado's let himself down there trying to be all clever and using technique and stuff, but overall what a game!"

I would rate this "Winner" too if I could.

we shouldnt have given Krul the chance. Ericksen should have buried his chance, as should have Kaboul. Soldado had a free header and didnt even force a save, and whiffed on another shot completely. Im sure there were others.

Fair enough but absolutely none of that has anything to do with AVB

There's a little bit of both in there for me. Whilst Krul most definitely had an absolute blinder, it was made just that little bit more special by our own profligacy. Eriksen only had to put his foot slightly under the ball and it's over Krul's leg for a goal. If Kaboul had committed just a little more he could have put the ball and himself in the back of the net so the defender couldn't clear.

Fine margins I know, but it's these margins that make the difference.

But the positives are there. All those bewailing tactics, substitutions, man management and another half dozen whines, overlook the fact that we should really have won by near enough 3 or 4 goals with many of those chances being the clear cut, gilt edged chances that we've been missing over the last few weeks. The loss has had many completely ignore/miss that fact.

Shitty end to the weekend by any measure, but take the emotion out of the analysis and you can see that we may just be moving in the right direction up front.

I would say the Cardiff keeper had a better performance when we played them, made many top saves. Krul didn't make any saves i wouldn't expect a premiership keeper to make apart from the free kick but i actually think the clearance off the line by the defender was more impressive.

Having read some of the knee jerk shit on here, how the hell can we have a "let's laugh at (inset club)" thread. I've read about the bin dippers, the inbread, the crack heads......just to name a few. I really wonder what other fan sites are saying about the fans on here!
Pull your fucking selves together! Not that long ago we were 2 points from 8 games and we pulled through. We're 7th and 1 point off 4th and 5 points off 1st.

Well Said.

Its like RAWK in here lately
