Tottenham and West Ham have both been charged by the Football Association (FA) for failing to control their players during Saturday's derby at London Stadium.
this seems like overkill. thought at the time thay Llorente and Diers bookings were very harsh as didnt see any hands raised apart from the very slightest of pushes from Fernando on Carrol who had his hands on his neck, even that though was handbags at most. The rest seemed like everyone else wading in to stop things rather than any aggression. It was a derby, and a tense one at that towards the end, so yes was reaction but never felt either sides players let it get out of hand. At most thought Carrol deserved a yellow but struggled to see anything else wrong.
if that is considered unacceptable it will take the edge out of football
i'm sorry but how exactly is the club meant to "control their players" in the middle of the field during an altercation? Land Levy's helicopter between them, or confiscate their boots? What an idiotic thing to push through.
