Took a snap of it. A lot smaller than I anticipated. Seeing it I couldn't help thinking "is that it??".

I was told recently the real reason the drummer was banned was to avoid the "Yids" chant. That was by a steward who works in that area and worked there when the drum was banned.

The drummer was banned because he was caught getting in without a ticket. The drum hasn`t been used for quite a while now. The Yids thing is just a convenient excuse now not to have it back.
The Stewards who "work in that area" are all fuckwits anyway.

Top marks for having a go and again for holding their hands up and admitting it was a bit of a flop for reasons out of their control. Hope they persevere.

I refuse to put a picture of Chelsea's flags on here, but they have crooked gangways and entrances half way up the stand and yet manage to have flags bigger than a tea towel.
Really? Thought the best they could get their hands on was a few scraps of A4 from the photocopier...

I'm not sure what regulation they were citing that prevented the flag from being wider than the block entrance. Several PL clubs have had surfing flags much, much wider than an entrance this season.

That tea towel being passed around is the funniest thing I've seen on here in many a long day. Can we not do a fucking thing right. Why are we asking the council for permission to have a large flag? I love the sentiment, and hope they persist, but it's hard to believe it took a match day to see that it is mediocre. Very funny though. Even Palace with their crepe paper do a better job, although they are a happy bunch regardless.

We should seriously learn from other european clubs.
Here is what the fans of FC Copenhagen pulled of in the derby against their local rivals.

And Palace even had Argentinian style banners..

As much as it is effective, I think this Palace lark is a bit contrived personally. I have a few Palace mates, and I understand some fans did a bit of networking with European clubs to understand how to create a better atmosphere.
I laughed when I saw that 'Let the games begin' banner with the Saw guy at the first game against us. What does that mean? I might add I'm from round that way, so know the area and the people well - punk rock is quite prevalent, particularly in Croydon but I wouldn't say it is synonymous with Palace - so why the flags with punk rock imagery seem out of place as well.

To me, they've just borrowed heavily from European clubs, and tarted up that block with imagery and slogans that don't actually mean anything to them as club or city. It has taken some doing, but it is no different to City nicking the Poznan bounce, which they were derided for (although they seem to have dropped it now).

They are a loud section of fans mind, so it is working.

Regarding the Bill Nic banner - it is appropriate, but not very inspiring.

Also, Haringey Council are evidently gooners, we should move out of their reach. Pick the bones out of that, Lammy.
