Congrats to Tim Sherwood, you're no longer the worst ever Spurs replacement coach. That title now goes on to Ryan Mason, who all he cared about was playing his mates. probably because he wants to manipulate some of them into being friends for life.

Shouldn't hide the truth that he did a really atrocious job overall. Has really gone down in my estimations. Will go down as the manager who played his mates.
He really didn't. Pretty much every stat that shows how good team is improved in comparison to Mourinho.
And the narrative of playing his mates is now really forced out of reality

Playing against teams who had finished the season?

The level of opposition we faced was dogshite

He completely ballsed up Europa, we are now in the conference league.

Reinstated the horrible threesome of Dier, Alli and Winks.

I appreciate him taking on the role and the way he dealt with the media, but on the football side he was clueless.

Lol they weren't.
With FiveThirtyEight data:
Mason with this fixtures was expected to have 9,03 points, he has 9.
Mourinho with his fixtures since 2021 was expected to have 27,26 points, he had 24.
And with Leicester:
9,92 expected points, 12 actual points

Presented himself brilliantly in the media.

Some good tactical and personnel decisions, some awful tactical and personnel decisions.

No draws, lost two matches we’d have expected to get 4-6 points from v Villa and Leeds, won one matche we definitely expected no points from v Leicester.

The worst football was as bad as under Mourinho, the best was significantly better than anything Mourinho served up regardless of quality of opposition.

Got a major tune out of Bale.

Personally, I think he did well given the absolute shitshow he inherited. Yes, some obvious fuck ups, but actually got a little bit of enjoyment out of our final 6 weeks too. Who knows what the future holds but I think he should be proud of how he stepped up to the plate in an awful situation.

He's basically a kid and, in the circumstances, at least held his nerve even if he didn't quite have the ideas or the vision to do much more than par.

Not any the wiser about where we are than I was after Mourinho left, but don't think Mason is the guy to blame for that.

Sure we could have spent big on a professional rescue man if we'd chosen to - but that's not this lad's fault...

A little unfair, as Villa had a massive boost in Grealish and Mings coming back against us, and then beat Chelsea. Leeds have also been rocking the end of the season (apart from that Brighton result just before us they'd also beaten City and drawn with Liverpool and United...). Football. ??‍♂️

I'm so glad to see the end of this season. ?

Maybe a little but I was erring on the side of not overly praising him as my opinion is clearly that he’s done a good job.

Imagine genuinely believing that a 28 year old rookie should have won every game in order to gain some sort of credit

Maybe we should save money on hiring a manager, what with the team being simultaneously shite (apparently) and in need of a 'rebuild', yet at the same time so damn good that Ryan actually held us back by 'only' averaging 2 points per game.

Clearly out of his depth in a managerial sense but having said that, he got plenty of wins & it was a lot more enjoyable then watching JoseBall & for that I thank him.

Id like to add we lost to Leeds simply cause they are fitter than us, we couldn't match their energy. Thats on Mourinho, not Ryan.

I do think he got the Villa game horribly wrong though.

But ultimately, not yo blame.

The WH draw winds me up more than anything else and the countless dropped points late in games
