I don't know anyone with a 45m buyout clause, if someone did know this would be a great clue.
Looking at the list of most valuable players on transfermarkt.com, I can't imagine who we would bring in for this huge amount of money. Could we not invest the money wise, spreading it out a little bit? I guess we will find out tomorrow.
My best guess is Hulk. But my player knowledge is thin - never heard or seen these expensive players: Witsel, Marchisio or Hamsik.

Aguero would be nice if he isn't in Pelli's plans. Falcao would be jaw to the floor.

Hulk, benzema or Suarez for 45m would thoroughly disappoint me... but for different reasons. Ozil or Reus, well that's a totally different scenario. What other players.... attainable players, would command that fee?

Loan deal would be a goer for FC I reckon. 50% of wages, 60k a wk. I could live with that.

Left-back is an absolute must tomorrow. Under no circumstances should Vertonghen have to play there. He is a world class centre-back and should not be played out of position. BAE clearly isn't fancied by Villas-Boas and has had both injury and form issues. Someone who can deliver a quality cross would earn this team an additional 6-8 points over the course of the season from the left-back position, as Rose has shown in the first three games that his crossing is very poor.

Bringing in someone like Ince as our only signing would be completely non-sensical. Unless it's a winger on the left who is proven at a very high level (like Griezmann), we should focus on potentially replacing Adebayor and Ekotto only tomorrow.

On a positive note, today pretty much sucked so following the roller coaster pattern of this TW, tomorrow has to a be an "up" day with good news, right?

If we just sell (and Siggy, Lennon, Ade, Defoe come to mind) and no big name is brought in and that's it, I will be disappointed.

As had been said above, currently no need for a LB, unless Ekotto goes. I don't see us letting him go without having someone lined up.
Similarly, currently we don't need another striker, unless Ade goes. I don't see us letting him go without having someone lined up.
So, reality check. We are good to go as it stands. If we sell, it will to be upgrade. I'd be hugely surprised if we sell either of those two without having a player of better current ability, or greater potential. Seasons past, maybe, but right here and now, with the summer we've had, and the Bale money to balance the books etc, I expect better this time round.
Off the back of what we have already done, if we do no further business, I'll be happy enough. If we upgrade a couple more players, then thats just a bonus.
For the record, if there is a jaw dropping £45m player, it has to be Suarez for me, maybe Rooney at a push, outside chance of Hulk, but doubtful.
Hulk and Pereira to replace Ade and BAE only of AVB is looking at Porto favourites? Again, doubtful though.
Not sure I buy into the Coentrao loan talk.

Loan with view to buy for Coentrao, 45m for Ozil and hijack those ****s of neighbors in the process. Sell Ade, Lennon, Siggy and BAE. Buy a striker. Done and dusted.

That's going too far! He is not a world class cb! Proved that today. Does he not play LB for Belgium? He can be a liability especially alongside Dawson.

So in one fail swoop we loose our best player and enable the Goons to get a special player off of the same team? Im hoping this jaw dropper is Ozil, otherwise whats in it for us in the relationship?
