Nothing much changed with the women from last season, lack of pace , touch and passing ability all about the same.

Wish they’d refer to them as Tottenham women/ladies drives me mad the headlines etc saying totttenham/teams do this and that without stating it’s womens teams. Parity being shoved down our throats, I’m sure it wouldn’t offend to suffix with women/ladies….and before anyone says it. The mens teams been around since 1882 as THFC so why should they change
That is not always a good thing...Confident I’m in the majority on this one.
Not at men's level, we have finished above them for the last few seasons now, have CL football which they haven't achieved for a few seasons and have a look at this web page , scroll down a bit you will find a whole section on Spurs as a brand, might cheer you up a bit.We could have made some statement signings after the euros especially, look at Villa signing Rachel Daly who has had an immediate impact. We're still far off and the gap to Man U looks bigger now, especially as they signed our experienced striker from last season.
It's a bit sad that we seem to always be behind Arsenal at all levels whether it be men or women. It upsets me tbh.

True they have won recent silverware but if we want to buy more £50 million plus players then CL football is a priority in this day and age.We are doing well on the commercial side of things for sure, but on the pitch we are always playing catch up. Especially when it comes to silverware.
The scores and match fixtures appearing on tv are annoying. You glance up and wtf????Wish they’d refer to them as Tottenham women/ladies drives me mad the headlines etc saying totttenham/teams do this and that without stating it’s womens teams. What utter bollox.Parity is absolutely what we should be aiming for. This is one of many steps towards that. The men's game gained it's greater history through literally banning women from playing on professional grounds, it's about time we had some help to catch up.
It also means there's a much bigger PR impact from how the lasses are doing, which can only be a good thing for driving investment. Tottenham getting battered live on BBC1 and making the headlines doing so won't please the board at all. They've done a good job building a solid midtable side, but the investment came far later than other sides we want to see as our equals. Hopefully days like today spur a continued improvement.
So much credit to the team for how they handled this too. Despite the result, despite the Arsenal celebrations, they came over to the away end, thanked everyone for their support, signed autographs and took selfies with the fans. It would've been all too easy to skulk off back to the dressing room so it was great to see.
Being in the majority is a sin these days but lets not go there.Confident I’m in the majority on this one. It’s not me being misogynistic, but media seem determined to not distinguish between mens and womens game, on off chance they cause offence.
Charming ?What utter bollox.
What utter bollox.
Thought this was the Women's team thread. What utter bollox.
We definitely could have done with a statement signing, but there's very few top players that would come. The big 4 have the history and money so hoover up the elite players (or they head abroad for the history/money). Without investing huge amounts it's gonna be a very slow catch-up process. Sadly, currently, not one of our players would get in the Arsenal team.We could have made some statement signings after the euros especially, look at Villa signing Rachel Daly who has had an immediate impact. Another thing is tactics, trying to pass your way through superior teams like Arsenal with inferior players isn't going to work, a different approach is needed, maybe Wimbledon tactics. We definitely could have done with a statement signing, but there's very few top players that would come. Rachel Williams is a good player but she's 35 in January and played 34 times for us scoring 4 and assisting twice. It was the right decision to try younger players.
I'm not disputing the fa made the ban.In 1920-21, Goodison saw an average crowd of circa 37,000 for Everton's home matches.
The capacity was 53,000, a figure rarely reached as the average will testify.
Yet a women's game there in 1920 saw a full house and, allegedly, ten thousand plus turned away.
How did the FA react?
In 1921, the FA banned all women's teams from playing on Association-affiliated grounds because the game was not 'fitted for females'.
It took 50 years, and an order from UEFA, for the FA to rescind its restrictions.
By then, the men's game had indeed gained its greater history - the Matthews Final, the Tottenham double, the World Cup - and so the claim of @Saoirse is not, as you put it, utter bollox. It's bang on.
It was good to see some new faces, but the same problems arose. Arsenal were so much more powerful, faster and accurate with their passing. I know it's early doors and Arsenal are always up for this game but I was just hoping to see something different from last season. When focused we looked quite solid as a defensive unit and at times we played a few nice passes in a sequence but that was about it. It was very much how I felt watching last season.Nothing much changed with the women from last season, lack of pace , touch and passing ability all about the same.
I have to agree. Lumping the ball forward for Naz to run onto would have been no worse than anything else today. We also usually look a little more threatening when Neville's moved forward and shows her pace.Another thing is tactics, trying to pass your way through superior teams like Arsenal with inferior players isn't going to work, a different approach is needed, maybe Wimbledon tactics.
