The Telegraph watched the terrible FIFA film United Passions ... so you don’t have to!

This is a brilliant review/putdown!

Soundbites include
It includes performances by actors who have quite possibly never met other human beings. It is not good.
It is is as objective about its subject as Triumph of the Will was in its treatment of Nazi Germany.
A group of French men (we know they are French because they are shown eating cheese and drinking wine exclusively) form Federation Internationale de Football Association. Only the English object to Fifa and that’s because, in this version of events, this sceptred isle is inhabited entirely by baddies.
and my favourite:
The people behind the film seem to genuinely believe children grow up dreaming of doing admin. Forget Pele, these guys are the real heroes.
Will you be watching it?

Being Fifa’s president means nothing – there will be no glory and no money.

Blatter is described as a “visionary” from the outset and utters such bon mots as “I’m always pleased with democracy” and “We should be concentrating on women’s teams.”

:ROFLMAO: I have to watch this terrible film.

16m quid on this.. FIFA is a non-profit organisation though. One of those non-profit organisations with billions sitting in the bank. Ah, right.
