Who knows. I don’t see why if he feels he will get a chance.
Why would he get a chance here? What would make him think he would get a chance here? He's been called out as lacking application, being a problem child, not working as hard as others and placed behind players like N'Koudou despite staying loyal to the club, when he had loads of top clubs after him.
He's gone to Excelsior and no one has moaned of his attitude problems or application, the stats suggest he doesn't have any massive problems working off the ball. Maybe all of that stuff was just exaggerated to make a point or to excuse not giving him a chance.
The stuff at Norwich may be true but we don't know why it happened. He could have been acting out due to frustration at the lack of promises being honoured.
I'd be surprised to find if his attitude has completely changed in the course of a couple of months, as we haven't heard any problems so far. Maybe the Dutch are just better at dealing and handling the development of younger players. They may accept they won't be perfect and give them chances if they think they are good enough and work on them going forward. Whereas here, we just put up barrier after barrier, and hold the academy players to different standards to signings.
It's no surprise that we end up buying players from that league while completely destroying our own players. People believe the Dutch academy kids are better, yet the very few English kids outs there playing are already making their team of the weeks. It is so frustrating to watch.
Either way, realistically he could go on and get 20 assists this season and still wouldn't find himself in the first team, I've suggested he should leave before, and as the poster said above, I think the best option is using him in a trade off with a player from another club in the Eredivise.
