Mail says he’s training with Everton and City!
At what point do the players leaving start prompting a review of what’s going on? Feels like we’re losing lots of talent
And depending on which way you look at it, it's getting better/worse. Without setting off alarm bells, as there is ZERO indication this player is leaving, and I'm not going to comment who it is. One of our very talented and promising youth players actually commented on a positive post of Sancho on instagram acknowledging that Sancho never played for City's first team, and got into Dortmunds first team and is playing in the Bundesliga and talking about his huge potential. it could be someone managing it, but regardless people are recognising this and they are seeing a 17 year old, who's had all the 'where does he think he is believing he can play first team football' comments is actually proving to be a success. Will they all be successes? of course not, but go abroad and have a 60% chance of getting a chance or stay in England have a 1% chance of getting a shot, being highly dependent on injuries occurring.
And as I've mentioned before I saw one of our talented now u15 players commenting on a post about Sancho playing in the Bundesliga and how it is a good route.
We don't compete with other teams who are willing to make teenage players and their parents millionaires without any guarantee that the player will make the grade. You can't really blame him for leaving when he can sign a deal like that.
That's annoying but at least we're through
I take it Haysman had a good gameOther than the 8 this side look very ordinary.
He's incredibly tiny1-1 final
I'm not sure if it was due to the camera angle but Renaldo Torraj (10) looked like he was the younger brother of one of the players that decided to join in.
IGSpur said:Also we have apparently released Max Hudson who was the really talented LB for this age group. Well I hope he was released and not poached. That would make Kirby, Madueke, Forson, Reo Campbell as talents that felt they should leave or were poached, though the first 3 are on a completely different level to Campbell (I think). 3 incredible CMs at youth level but it will be interesting to see if they make the right decision. I'd love to know what's going through the academy coaches minds atm.
Finally we have apparently also signed a Latvian keeper as well as the Norwegian that will go into the u16s this year. Apparently Tobi Oluwayemi hasn't progressed as well over the last year.

Didn't we release Campbell, rather than him leaving us?
While I do agree we need to look at the overarching strategy in our youth development, I wouldn't be too worried about some kids jumping ship, even if they are talented. It's just the way it goes, really. Heads will always be turned at that age, and it's sometimes easier for the kid to blame his current club for not making as much progress as he would like, than looking at himself.
There's no club in the world that doesn't consistently sell it's best players every summer that is going to offer a guaranteed pathway to its youth players. At any club that's got a stable and talented first team squad they will be battling against the odds to make it.It's also easier for the club to blame the kid for jumping ship rather than looking at themselves.?
the daily mail are reporting that Everton are favourites to sign Omari Forson after training with them this week. city apparently interested too.
surely we're not losing another talent @IGSpur
The boy who went to Holland that seems such a backward step - the Dutch League is a poor league and he seems to have tried to take an easy option not a good sign imo
