I’d much rather have a young, over six foot, pacey forward who can play all over the front than a target man. Yes, Llorente has won us some points with his knockdowns in the last few weeks, but then you don’t know how many points we could have got throwing on a young, explosive forward.

We had young, explosive forwards v Newcastle and got nowhere. As soon as Llorente came on he caused them problems. IMO he'd also do a great job with Kane and Dele playing off him in the same way Son did. It's one of the reasons I think Mitrovic would be good for us.

Goalkeepers: Lloris, Gazzaniga, let Vorm go and have an English 3rd choice keeper - no preference

RB's: Sell Trippier and Aurier - I liked the look of Youcef Atal who somebody mentioned other day, stats looked good, alternatively I'd bring in Max Aarons and take the risk there, Would like Wan-Bissaka but think he will cost too much

LB's: Keep Rose, Davies I think keep for another season unless we can get an established LB, my preference would be sessegnon or Lewis from Norwich and keep Davies just 1 more season.

CB's: I'd do everything we can to keep the quarter we have, if Alder leaves then no replacement for me unless we could get a special talent like De Ligt (so no replacement)

DM: Keep Dier, Sell Wanyama and Sign Sander Berge

CM: Think Winks is awesome, happy with Sissoko but I think adding 1 top quality cm would elevate us to winning things. First choice would be N'Dombele then Rabiot or Kovacic who I can't see going back to Chelsea. This position is most important.

AM: I think Eriksen is gone, Don't think we can replace Eriksens qualities unless we managed an Isco swap deal so I think switching to 4-3-3 would be the better option personally. Can't name a player who can pass like Eriksen who we could feasibly obtain. I think Dele will play in the hole on his own if we stick 4-2-3-1 and we might be better getting a player who can play RW for better balance.

LW/RW: Son is incredible, I'm Happy with Lamela as bench depth, wouldn't mind Moura getting 1 more season but signing a player who can play RW would be excellent especially if they can play up top. My first choice would be Malcom, followed by Keita Balde, I.e Players we have been linked to in the past.

ST: Tough position, I'm happy with Son as back-up but would love to see us sign Werner and have the fron 3 of Kane, Werner, Son who rotate around eachother and Kane possibly dropping back giving him more space as Werner occupies defenders. Can't see it personally happening but it's a wishlist after all. Alternatively I'd sign Jan-Fiette Arp as backup.

TLDR:

Leaving: Vorm, Llorente, Nkoudou, Janssen, Wanyama, Trippier, Aurier, Eriksen
Sign:

RB: Atal alternatively Aarons
LB: Sessegnon alternatively Lewis
DM: Berge
CM: N'Dombele alternatively Rabiot
RW/AM: Isco alternatively Malcom/Balde
ST: Werner alternatively Arp

Realistically I only expect 4 signings: RB, DM, CM and 1 more attacking player. There's a lot of players I didn't mention who I think could be good options but I've tried to stick to players who have had links to us.

When has Sessegnon actually last played at full back? Can he also defend? I think the fact he popped up with goals for Fulham in the Championship masked his ability as a FB, hence why he is played further forward now. I have genuinely never seen him play as a full back so I'm keen to hear what other fans have to say. He is young yes and might have a bagful of potential but if we are signing him to play in the attacking wide areas, will he even get any game time ahead of Son, Lamela, Lucas etc?

In terms of scouting was wondering if anyone had watched Ritsu Doan - supposedly earmarked as Ziyech’s replacement at Ajax.
From what i have heard its pretty much a done deal already. But even so, he is a right winger were as Ziyech is a AM who can also play RW. In terms of ability, Doan is quite short but quick, tricky and a good playmaker. Very much a prospect tho and a sensible option for Ajax. I think he is some way of being ready for us and what we need. He is having a very good season tho.

Where's Ziyech going? His stats are impressive. I'd go all in for him.

Super list. I’ve also been keeping tabs of potential targets all season. I compiled the following based on matches I’ve seen, statistical and expert reports, and tips. i may have missed this… but has there been a list of players with favorable contracts that fit into our acquisition strategy? Considering our financial limitations (as compared to the other 5), we do tend to gravitate toward players whose 'dimensions' and contracts align with our playing philosophy and fiscal approach.

I think we'd find that the majority of players likely being considered would fit into that list.

Eriksen and Toby will go to bigger and more ambitious clubs.
Some like you seem to use the term "ambitious" instead of "successful". There is a big difference. Considering our income and our rise up the food chain with regards to players, position and infrastructure and expanding exposure world wide, I cannot see a more ambitious club than us in Europe. I would more equate a bigger club to be successful but not necessarily ambitious. Being ambitious does not necesarily mean successful, but it definitely means striving to be, which defines us.

In:
Sessegnon
N'Dicka - Young athletic left footed centre half, I like him a lot.
Sander Berge
T.Hazard - Rumoured to be available for £35-40m. No brainer for me at that price. Think he is special, really progressed at BMG
Havertz
Werner

Promote:
3rd choice Keeper
KWP (into rotation)
Troy
Heehee, you said dick
