I still can't believe the Sun has been the most reliable newspaper regarding our transfer rumors......

As JJ alluded too, they use the dart board technique. Or throwing shit at a wall until it sticks if you prefer that term. I’m sure we’ve mentioned a few genuine targets in this thread too, seems as we’ve suggested almost every young player with potential in here. :ROFLMAO:

I think the main problem is that I don't play/watch dart.... :(

If we could get Bale for 30/40m, would you accept him??

News is Zidane told him he won't be playing next season (same with Dani Ceballos)

I'd take Ceballos before Bale.

Edit. Seems some think it's daft to want a young player with bags of potential and probably not a huge fee, ahead of an injury prone one on 600k per week who's on the downslope. Bale has Man Utd written all over him.

Huge gamble but seems martial is up for sale
Well that entire team is probably up for sale. Ole’s got a massive rebuilding job to do. Good thing football is known for being patient:cautious:

Although only 1 sale would do the trick there. Selling Pogba would instantly stop the rot.

So the Lo Celso rumor is real. Good time to go after him with the newly signed contract and all instead of the cheap loan with option to buy last summer when Betis took advantage of it. Let's just hope it's not too rich for our blood now as that would be typical. Still would have Brandt ahead of him though. This good news might give @Ghost Hardware a semi though.
:wideyed:

I would take both. But yes, Lo Celso.... Swoon.

Bale seems to be on his way to Utd. A friend of mine works for a film production company, and his company where recently approached by his agent asking if they wanted to make a documentary about his upcoming mega move to Utd (my mate was in the meeting). Obviously take this with a big pinch of salt, but my friend said that it sounded like the deal hadn't been done yet but pretty much set in stone to utd. And that it would be a permanent, not a loan. Not that it really matters as we where never going to get him, but It will suck to see him there. Also, this meeting took place before they failed to make CL. But I can't see anyone else affording him.

N'Koudou out, Martial in, and even if that was the singular piece of business the squad would be infinitely better.
My feeling is that chasing Martial is a fool’s errand. It didn’t get us anywhere last year when it was obvious Mourinho didn’t even rate him. Since then he’s signed a new contract and while his stock has fallen again, I think Utd would want money beyond what we’d offer

I'd take Bale back if it didn't impact any of our other business, and if his wages work out.

He's an experienced winner and there is that romance of him coming back and helping us win something.

But yeah ... only if it doesn't affect any of our other business.

It is definitely the sort of thing they’d do and damned with the finances. I really wouldn’t be that upset if it happened; I’m not convinced his body could now cope with the hardship of a full Premier season without breaking down and we can’t afford that on our budget. Would be great to see him back in the Prem though

I can't think of single net-site that doesn't play "dart" when it comes to transfer target. Yet, a few on SC are under the illusion that some sites are more, well, errr "reliable" than others and have made up an "elite list" of acceptable sites

They called Gazzaniga, Sanchez and Llorente before anyone else. The Sun is a scummy newspaper but there's no doubt they have a decent record with regards to our transfers.

Abso-fucking-lutely!

Even if Bale’s pace is soon to be on the decline, the technique and imagination that boy possesses is beyond any and every player in our current squad. We’d be far better with him. That said, I don’t think we could ever make the financials works.

I have no doubt that, for all his ideals, if Pochettino was offered Bale by Levy, he’d be delighted.
