Think that’s the third or fourth planning application for that plot of land. Wonder how much we actually spend on planning applications each year. Even without the stadium it must be hundreds of thousands!

If any costs are being incurred by The Club including any Director / Employee for time working on the Applications for Properties owned offshore by ENIC it would be normal practise for the services to be invoiced.

Seems like Levy/ENIC are building Spurs into more than just a football club but more the central hub of regenerating Tottenham. Apart from the building plans now we have theatre coming to Tottenham with the announcement today of a link up with Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG).

I remember when the Old Wembley was just the stadium, huge car park and the arena plus a load of industrial units, now look at Wembley today it has been transformed . Maybe that's the vision for Levy & ENIC but what's lacking are the transport links, cross rail 2 is light years away.

Transport links can be improved, more trains can be run per hour to WHL on the overground.

If it came to it, the Northumberland Park depot 'could' have a underground station added.

All hypothetical of course... but when things hit a critical mass, then it becomes political, and those in power want to then spend money to improve and get votes.

Building Magazine are reporting today that Lendlease are pulling out of the UK. Where does that leave the Development Partnership they have with Haringey for the HRW?

Also reported here https://www.constructionenquirer.com/2024/05/28/lendlease-puts-construction-arm-up-for-sale/
The same place it was prior to this agreement, going 100 miles an hour to fuck all! Been 10/12 years since the riots and the High Road West Scheme first been mooted and not 1 spade in the ground. Now it'll be another few years at very best of going back to thr drawing board, selecting new partner, new consultations, new plans, new planning permissions......

ENIC have made no secret of their desire to have a much wider involvement in the HRW scheme and presented their own alternative plans when challenging the Lendlease CPO. Levy also spoke about bringing in investors for future Developments but didn't say what these were at the time. There was also some chatter about Lendlease and ENIC working on a deal so maybe this is all related. But as you say what a waste of space Haringey have been in the whole regeneration process achieving feck all in 10 years!!

Interesting connection between the HRW scheme and Whitewebbs judicial review. As a barrister Timothy Mould KC represented Haringey Council when Spurs objections were overruled.
In January this year Timothy Mould was appointed as a High Court judge , he led the judicial review which came out in favour of Enfield Council's right to lease part of Whitewebbs Park to the most suitable bidder. Swings and roundabouts eh.

Little bit from the submission by Haringey Council probably written by Mr Mould.

More generally, THFC’s objection to the Order appears to be motivated by resentment

And compare that with what the club have achieved for the area that time. It's embarrassing.
