Despite everything that is happening at spurs there still seems to be loads of negative threads on here at the moment and I thought it might nice to have a positive thread about everything that is going right at spurs. I will put a few below and add your own as you see fit

1. We are 4th with a realistic chance of going higher despite this being a 'transition season' having lost 3 major first team players in (modric, vdv and king) and bringing in a completely new spine to the team in lloris, verts, dembele etc.

2. We have one of the worlds best players in bale who is still young and improving.

3. We have a respected ( in most of Europe if not here) young manager who is performing better than most of the press and plenty on here thought he would.

4. In our 'disaster' transfer window we signed the German u21 captain who also has been capped at senior level and one of the most promising defenders in English football.

5. We are undefeated in 10 pl games with only one defeat in 14.

6. We have one of the best, if not the best, training facilities in world football.

7. We have one of the best youth set ups in English football. U21s are top of their league, the other levels are doing brilliant as well and I would be very surprised if any other club had as many youth players as we do who are showing genuine pl potential.

8. We have a reasonably young first team, if we keep them together this team will only get better

9. We have a new stadium coming in the foreseeable future with early works already under way.

10. We are financially stable with no likelihood of any financial problems and the FFP rules should help us if implemented properly.

11. We support tottenham

I am sure I have missed loads of stuff here but as I said I just wanted a happy, aren't we great, everything is looking rosy thread!

Not sure what there is to be negative about at the minute. For me anyway, we're far exceeding my expectations for the season.

I agree.

Things you've missed:

1) You have mentioned the fact that the squad is improving and growing together, but you didn't mention that most of those players are young and have not reached their peak as footballers. We have a young and exciting squad.

2) We have achieved all of this with a chairman who is a useless :censored: (apparently ).

3) We are not ArseScum.

Of these, the third may be the most important :)

Not only did we lose King VDV and Modric. VB also had to deal with having no Kaboom (best CB last year) no benny (first choice LB last year played all games) no Parker for most of the season, no Ade for at least a qtr of the season and now no Sandro (who we all agree is integral to us playing well). That's pretty much a whole, new team to deal with. Hats off Andre

We are exceeding expectations and I am delighted with how well we are doing this season. It was meant to be a season on transition but AVB has us in a good place for 4th and just beaten a very good French side in the Europa.

But I don't don't too hard on the more negative posters. We are 4th but have a hard run-in. Not sure when I'll be able to relax and truly enjoy the position we are in.

If we can keep hold of 4th then I'll be delighted but right now there's a tension to supporting Spurs (when isn't there?) and while my head says we should be looking to push Chelsea for 3rd I'm worried about losing 4th place.

Not sure how enjoyable being a football fan really is. I enjoy parts of the ride and I dream about the future but I find it difficult to bask in the glory of being ahead of our London rivals, I'll only really enjoy it if we are there at the end of the season.

I agree. There are plenty of people still being negative, even when the general thread is positive. It comes in all shapes and forms, often masquerading as realism or ambition. We look towards clubs such as Man Utd, Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern as though they were totally out of reach. Well, I recall the days when we grappled with the likes of those, and were among the gold ribbon clubs of European football. And, what I draw from that, is that if it were possible once then it's possible again. There is scope for one mega-massive London club to share the limelight with a small handful of others, and I can see it happening one day in the next 10 years or so. Yes it's a longshot but I don't reckon it's on the scale of Foinaven, and as far as I can see, Arsenal and Chelsea are not grasping the nettle and making that spot theirs, so why not?

And a manager who is supposed to be a fraud ;)
