Just a quick jobbie so we can chat about tomorrow's team and chances.

Team News

Us: New signing Jonathan Woodgate could be in the squad which is good news with rumours of Ledley only being able to play one in three games. If that's right, he should probably be rested for Saturday. Stalteri is a doubt (even when he's fit in my book) and Darren Bent has persistent kneecrook. Bale, Assou-Ekotto, Gardner still injured. Chimbonda available after suspension, switching places with Dawson.

Them: Tim Cahill is suspended and the only reported injury is Turner. And I don't know who he is. Yakubu and Yobo are at the ACN.

Form/Runes

Our current run is WLLWWL which is about UEFA Cup form, ignoring the the long runs of relegation form we had last year. Our away form is LLLWDD which is hardly sparkling.

The Toffees (how naff a nickname is that?) are on a WWWLWL run which is pretty impressive. They crashed out of both Cups with losses to Oldham (FA) and home and away to Chelsea (CC) this year. At home their last six reads WLWWWL losing only to The Goons and Liverpool.

Our league record at Goodison Park is 17 wins, 30 losses and 23 draws. So not at all bad really. In the PL it is a staggering SEVEN wins, six draws and only two losses. So reason for optimism there - it seems to be a lucky ground for us.

What to watch for: Everton have scored SIX GOALS in stoppage time, more than any other PL side. F**k me that must have been a hell of a match. And guess who leads the way with most conceded in stoppage time, also with SIX GOALS? I'll give you a clue: the club has a two-word name, and the second is "Hotspur".

Adjudication

It's the Time of the Ancient Marriner again for us, as Andre of that ilk packs his cards and whistle and he knows how to use them. Ten games have seen 3 reds and 30 yellows in the PL this season. He reffed our 1-1 draw at Bolton and the 5-1 gubbing of Fulham.

Predictions

Lawro: Everton are good at identifying weaknesses in teams and players that need to be stopped. They are good at home and I'm going for them to win. I know Tottenham are in the Carling Cup final but under pressure they make defensive mistakes. They have a lot of work to do at the back. Prediction: 2-0.

Me: I would hope we could get at least a draw. Provided we can keep Arteta quiet, with Yakubu, Yobo and Cahill missing we might even go one better.

Stats & Facts

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday dear MITKO! Happy Birthday to you!

Everton's top scorer is at the ACN. Mwa ha ha ha ha!

DARREN BENT is three goals short of a career century and that probably won't change tonight.

EVERTON have scored 40 league goals, as many as we have conceded.

STEED MALBRANQUE is not named after The Avengers' character. OK?

EVERTON have been awarded NO PENALTIES this season despite playing Andy Johnson many times.

We have only won SEVEN league games out of 23 played this season.

Be happy with a point at Goodison and a clean sheet...roll on the 0-0 draw

But my prediction is: 2-2

Normally I'd take a draw from this fixture but being that Cahill is out and Yaks and Yobo are away then I think this is a really good chance for us to step it up in the league and take the points. I reckon it'll be up to Tainio to keep Arteta quiet for the game and judging by his recent form he's up to the task.

Need our finishing to be top drawer on the day if we're to get anything from the game though.

they have a few first team regulars out, who usually are pivotal, cahill for one, i think we can nick it.

Woodgate is in the squad, and Bent wasn't listed in the crooked squad.

I fancy a win here, we've got a good recent record up there, if we score early I fancy us to tear em apart.

A new back four - again.

Tainio to continio being brilliant somewhere in the eleven - possibly in goal.

Chimbo to hand in a transfer request at the end of the game.

2-1 to Spurs.
