I really don't understand Garrett getting the DPOY award - he was great the first half of the year, and then had no sacks the last 7 weeks, and both TJ Watt and Micah Parsons beat him in almost every statistical category by the end of the year.
I think all of the advanced metrics had Garrett and Parsons on a different level than everyone else.

I think the advanced metrics are useless if all of the normal, actually football relevant metrics like sacks, pressures, quarterback hits and hurries, tackles, tackles for loss, forced fumbles and passes defended disagree with them. Watt beat Garrett in all of those categories, that actually affect an NFL game.

Pressures and forcing double teams also impact nfl games and give you a better idea of how an edge rusher is impacting a game more than sacks and pass breakups.

What a Hobson’s choice as a Raiders fan to have either the 49ers or Chiefs win the Super Bowl in your own bloody stadium, eeesh!

Still, 9ers are the preference but unfortunately have the inclination the Chiefs will win - thinking 27-20
