I was reading that this morning. Best line...
"We were in the back of the truck and we didn't even know there was a funeral. How could we know? We couldn't even see out over the sides."
Well that's ok then...
Pfff... Try Spurs and Roscommon...They were right about when you believe in the curse though, I've managed to convince myself that this is the year and we can finally do it but come Sunday night I will more than likely be sitting in the pub giving out about Dublin and how Mayo won't win until the last 2 are gone
Not sure what I did I a previous life to deserve Spurs and Mayo
Pfff... Try Spurs and Roscommon...
Occasionally you get the feeling the minors might be making progress. And then this year in the league we did well. But by the time the All-Ireland came round we revert to type. Still, there's always the second half of the Connaught semi again Sligo to keep me going another year...At least Roscommon don't even bother giving you hope
Or Spurs and Monaghan.... Although things have been better in recent years we're still a level below the Dubs, Kerry, Mayo and Donegal.Pfff... Try Spurs and Roscommon...
The worst of it is. the amount of people I know from Dublin, Kerry, Mayo and Donegal. It's worse over here as everyone has their parents 2 counties and one of them is bound to be some way successful. My parents are both Sligo but as I was born and (briefly) raised in Roscommon I stick to my one county.Or Spurs and Monaghan.... Yeah, I live in Dublin now so we get a lot of people from all those counties here too. I'm not a major GAA fan but it'd be nice to get a trip to Croke Park the odd time. The worst of it is. the amount of people I know from Dublin, Kerry, Mayo and Donegal. Until my daughter came along that is. She has to have a Roscommon, Mayo and Tipp jersey just to keep everyone happy. And a Sligo headband too.
