Looks completely fake to me. POTL never talks about 'sources' for a start. I think it's widely accepted on COYS that POTL works for the club. The way that post is written is also not in line with POTL's usual approach. He/SHE always posts sharp and to the point info, this is too fluffy.

I disagree. Why the bloody hell would Levy care if we're upset over not getting Moutinho, so put a story that suggests we did try but it didn't work out... That just smacks of (the club) being stupid.

The idea that the club would be scared of fans voting with their feet is laughable - for one; the season tickets have already been paid for. two; for every current season ticket holder there are three waiting for one.

Am not saying media is not manipulated, but to suggest that one of the top three honchos at the club secretly come on here or leave notes lying about in their office in the hope they can firm up a rumour we're really trying but things don't work out that is on the net is just silly.

Seriously, they've better things to do. Like try and do deals. Or whatever else they get their wages for. Leak false stories for no real reason but to appease us? naaaaaaaa.

Ok. I have no proof of this supposition but you don't either that that isn't what is happening. In the old days you would have a few pet reporters who you'd feed scraps to in order to control information in the market. Now the way to control the flow is not through red-top scoops but itk.

I really dont think this is fun and games. Blogs are constantly manipulated by businesses to control what people think about everything from breakfast cereals to airlines so why would the club be any different?

If i owned a club I would make sure that sensiti e information being leaked to the media were being lost in a barrage of disinformation and spin so it didn't upset a 120 million deal for my prize asset. For example of course.

Itk is wonderful fun but you can be sure that most of it has an agenda attached from the source and you wouldn't be surprised if some of it were from agents, so why would you be surprised if some of it were from the club?
