Just said if he was a betting man he'd say he'll end up with us. Considering the Mirror's "Villa to sign this week" story from this morning I won't get my hopes up.

Would tie in with him potentially being shown round the training ground recently, especially seeing as he hasn't travelled to Germany with Villa.

Seems like there is a big difference of opinion on Benteke.

I think he has it all and would be a match made in heaven with bale providing service to him.

If we are that interested in him and are willing to put in an offer of around say £22million i think he would love to join us.

Seing also that he has "visited" us too. Im sure he was impressed aswell. Add verts and dembele to the mix too im sure they have sold him the tottenham project to perfection.

You can always work on your first touch ect hes got good movement ect and its harder to work on that!

Can any ITK confirm if we did in fact offer £25m for Andy Carroll a few seasons back? It could just be an indication of how much we might stretch to for Benteke.

We definitely have to be the reason he put a transfer request in. There is too much of a coincidence considering he was also shown around the training ground as well.

I doubt it. I'm not sure that anyone claimed we put any sort of offer in. You're talking about the January the Dear Leader was supposed to be driving around Spain with a couple of holdalls full of used twenties in the boot of the Carnage? I thought that was bollocks then, and think it's double-bollocks now.

Believe it or not, the English prem isn't the great pull it was 5 or so years ago. High tax rate, other leagues financial power (France, Russia).

The tax rate is the same as Spain and less than France and we have even more tv money this season

Actually I will go as far as saying that the premier league is the only league buying big players at the moment as other than Monaco in France there isn't a lot of money being exchanged
