But he doesn't have an awful injury and yes he is still irreplaceable right now.

Any Spurs team from the current crop without Bale is a worse one and we can't plug that gap. A consistent game changer, who regularly plucks points out of thin air. There aren't many of them about ever in world football. A

lot of our legends weren't capable of the magnificence we saw last year. He was a highlight reel by himself.

You haven't seen a player go from us that carried a team like he did last year.

What should we do if he beaks a leg then? Should we honestly play with ten men because he is irreplaceable. Or would you take Messi or Ronaldo as a replacement? Yes I know it's extreme, but it makes my point.

What part of no player is irreplaceable don't you get? Was Pele irreplaceable? Just because your team would be reduced in performance without a certain player doesn't make the player irreplaceable. It makes him valuable, maybe very valuable, but not irreplaceable.

Looking at Real at the weekend Bale is the last player they need.

If Lamela is largely regarded as Bale's heir surely it makes sense to get him in now given we almost are certain Bale goes next season. He will bed in for a year and will cost a lot less than he will come next season. Can't be a cash flow problem preventing this.

I want Bale to stay, we all do, AND I think he will. BUT, if we lose him and replace him with Lamela, Willian, Chadli, Paulinho, Capoue and Soldado we will be a considerably better team than last year. It is essentially win-win for us. If he stays we have a team capable of winning the league, if he goes we still have a team capable of winning the league.

Quite relaxed about it. The Cobra info seems about right to me, get Willian anyway and get Lamela if Bale goes.
