Very optimistic given the news from Jacob
On Parker I heard that West Ham are trying hard but are worried about his wages. Think they've put all their wages eggs in Mr Carroll's bag!

From an England point of view I think you've probably got a better chance of making the squad if you play 15 games or so in the EPL than playing a full season in the Championship

If you haven't, go and read the Telegraph article in the Bale thread.

Amongst other things it claims Levy is refusing to meet Perez cos he thinks they can't stump up the cash, Capoue is coming, Coentrao is interested in coming,Townsend available for 10m, Livermore 8m (!), Benny and Parker to go, Willian is noted as being maybe available for er... Stupid money.

Cracking read.

I hope we keep Townsend, we need someone that can take people on with a bit of pace rather than push them over.

I have watched all of RM's friendlies over here in the States and there is no doubt Ronaldo has been playing with a chip on his shoulders based off his stellar play and body language in these games. It's almost as if he is trying to send the message, I am the f'n man at this club and nobody will take that from me.

Quite frankly, Bale is not on Ronaldo's level yet in ability and miles apart in global appeal. Ronaldo is a rock star over here in the States, my mother who has never watched a game of footie in her life would recognize him on the street. I think I would be pissed too if I was Ronaldo and my team bought Bale for the amounts thrown out there.
Are you for real? No pun intended. That is one self centered and fucked up attitude to have.

but that leaves another 24 bale related sleepless nights !

But another one has passed. I'm confident. Loving the new ITK, fits with the RM presidents change of attitude today. I actually think that the Bale shit is over for this window. Only worry is a left-field from Barca or Man U - that still concerns me.

Haven't Real tried playing Ronaldo in a different position in pre season?

If we are quoting 100 million plus to Madrid, what do you think we would quote United? I'm not sure, but safe to say it would be even higher. Wouldn't worry about them now.

But I think Mr Bale might be a little more upset (biggest team in England, close to his home, Giggs probably his hero...etc) and the problem might be bigger and the cut losses amount might be less. Don't trust that shit, twice bitten, thrice shy.

Levy won't be selling to United - not on your nelly.

I may be mistaken, but I think I'm right in saying that London is closer to Cardiff than Manchester is. If you want to come up with reasons why he would throw his toys out of the pram, you'd probably better forget about that one.

Just reading 'Private Eye' (popular satirical, corruption exposing magazine non UK readers), a bit of a break from here and to my surprise, there is no escape from ITK, or in this case, Ryantegan:

"Levy could go for Suarez to fill the void," declared a triumphant Mail in what seemed like quite a scoop about Luis Suarez moving to Tottenham. The Mirror and Telegraph were similarly exercised by this revelation.
Unfortunately, Suarez's agent, Suarez himself and even Tottenham knew nothing of the proposed move- possibly because the entire story was concocted by angry Spurs fans [Ryantegan] to exact revenge for Sky News's coverage of the potential departure of Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
On the morning the Suarez "news" broke, Spurs fan forum users shared, with glee [and were told off by mods :) ] , a series of national news articles littered with quotes, phrases and rumours they had written the previous day in an orchestrated creative writing exercise.

Private Eye: circulation 225,000.
They and their readers know you are a troll, Ryan ;)
