I just don't understand why you are all getting so uptight about this interview. He was asked a question about his future and he denied there were any relationship problems with Levy and that, as he was an employee, it was up to management to decide if they wanted to extend his contract. All perfectly reasonable comments. Just give the man a break he's the best manager we've had since we were in the PL.

The comments are typically Redknapp - exactly what you'd expect.

It's more the kicking a man while he's down re Levy's personal circumstances that is so odious.

I rate you Mr Pink, but the same goes whenever there is something that gets highlighted from 'rent-a-quote' Redknapp. I don't understand why people just dive in without waiting for the full context.

He also said he has as good a relationship with Levy as he's had with any chairman he's ever worked with, unsurprisingly nobody has even mentioned that.

Whether Harry is indeed right or not, does airing your dirty laundry in public help the situation?!

This will only fuel the fire which is only just sparking into life with the media and it certainly won't go away and merely serve as hindrance on our campaign.

Even if it was the case that we had to declare it if it was 10%+, we ain't signing the guy for €18m. Thought it was closer to £10m.

To be totally honest mate, I didn't really know much about him when he signed. The club record fee suggested that he'd be decent though.

Plus, that was four years ago and to me it seems as though a lot has changed. Would a player worth 16.5m now be willing to accept wages within our structure? That's not meant as a particularly weighted question, I just would be interested to know if there is someone out there who has contacts in the world of football.

I obviously hope they would, but I suspect that clubs like City, Chelsea, Malaga and PSG have skewed the demands of highly rated in-demand talent somewhat since we signed Modric.

I knew a bit about him, and thought it was a real coup. Not as much as Ossie/Ricardo, but still, smashing.

You may have a point, though, about the way the shitebag teams have ruined the TM.

I thought I was feeling bad. Spurgs has just been mistaken for you, SP. I don't think I can ever make this up to him.

Also, brownhead - we hardly knew ye.

Got 5 and a bit hours for Brownhead's reputation to live or die.

Lol I wouldn't hang my hat on it, sure there will be a reason tomorrow for why it didn't happen.

Also just watched the interview in its entirety, not as bad as I thought and I have calmed down considerably. Still though the undertones are there and its not a good situation.

RE: Pienaar...well what would you think if your him and you've just seen that you've seen your manager saying that he's OK with you going back to Everton. Also his points on the CL are only valid if you can pay mental wages and fees like Chelsea can. Plus in recent years they have won the league and been to CL semi finals and a final...them not being in the CL is ok because its quite likely they will be again.

The most incredible thing is Harry saying towards the end of the season that the England speculation didn't have an effect on the team and the players don't care about that stuff......and now he is saying that the players might be unsettled if he only has 1 year left. You can only LOL at this or you will get angry!

Maybe Redknapp is trying to push Levy into firing him, not saying he is but he would probably get a pay off from the club and still probably be able to get one last fat contract somewhere else

The problem with this whole Redknapp issue is its quite obvious all the squad players dislike him. I mean he doesnt seem to give them a chance, he slags them off saying theres no quality in the squad or on the bench etc.

But on the other hand all the noises are that our best players all have a huge attachment to him and he is arguably one of the main reasons they want to stay. Really is playing with a loaded gun, if anything the safe play is to keep him until we sign a couple of good players (I know...) and then replace him once we've shown our ambitions in other areas.

Im truly torn as to what Levy should do, imagine how he must be feeling as he is generally pretty cut throat but has to be delicate when handling this.

That's because it's a load of bollocks.

Redknapp fell out with Mandaric because he brought in a DOF,he fell out with Lowe at Southampton because he brought in Clive Woodward and he fell out with the West Ham Chairman because he couldn't keep his big mouth shut.
