7 of what 11 goals? He's only scored 5 goals for Spurs when coming on as a substitute. Where did you get 11 from?

The main problem with Defoe is not so much how many goals he scores but who he scores them against. He has a terrible record against the better teams and an impressive one against the lesser sides who frankly we should be beating anyway. That is why I said he would tear up the Championship. Against mediocre defenders he is absolutely lethal but if you look at his record it doesn't translate to points gained.

I thought it was 11 in 110 that was written, just goes to show how plainly silly the 5 goals figure was. He would tear it up in the championship but he would never be able to make the England team if he did, also plenty of teams in the PL will gladly take him. Also he scored 4 goals in 13 against the top 5 in the last two season, which is hardly a bad record.

Yep it does and I've just done it

Afternoon all,

Apologies I couldn't get the update sorted this morning, been crazy at the office (the time of the year!) and am just having 30 minutes to myself, and so I could get this posted.

This whole Gareth thing has been blown WAY out of proportion! So I'm just going to lay down some facts here.

1. Gareth IS happy at the club and has NOT refused to train or play. He is not ready to play yet and that's the end of it, he should be fit soon.
2. Gareth has NOT said he wants to leave the club and if he does say this to us, it won't be for atleast another season yet.
3. He can see that we are showing intent to really challenge in the league, and he's over the moon at the new signings.
4. Gareths' agent has NOT caused this shitstorm, the only negotiations with the club and Gareths' parentsm and agent is to try and get the best deal for him.
5. He has just signed some new endorsements and some massive marketing campaigns which will be very lucrative to both Gareth and his Agent.

There was some more information I wanted to post up, but having spoke to the interested parties, I'd stand to lose a lot of money and many contracts, since it would be obvious it's me that let the information out.

This information very fresh and it was revealed to me yesterday evening at a meeting with certain people involved in the Bale camp.

Only qualm I have with it is saying his agent hasn't done anything - Surely he should then be suing multiple papers for directly quoting him.

bale being in the papers in any capacity will end up making those agents cash, brand bale will boom. I love Mystery most.

Journo and Mystery saying Bale is not refusing to train or play. Excellent to hear. Knew that boy wasn't that sort of character. I know some people can be different behind closed doors, but Bale just never seemed the sort to me at all.

Very, very happy right now. Never thought a Monday could be so good.

More than likely A&C would have deleted it because he contends that the commercial deal aspect of Bale staying is his ITK and he's nothing if not proprietary.

Thank you Mystery, we appreciate this info very much, you've improved a lot our moods ten fold! Good to hear good news about Bale's attitude but gotta be careful not to get me hopes up!
