Nothing was ever going to be straight forward with them selling one of their Jewels like Bastoni.

Supposedly Inter need a certain amount of transfer profit by the end of the month. Paratici learned from Marotta so its no surprise to see Inter getting scattergun links why they try to find their best strategy for the window.

You'd hope there'd be some movement either way soon. They might be able to keep Bastoni in limbo but they might not with Dybala for example, who seems to be waiting on the green light from them.

If I read WhatLiesBeneath’s post correctly, Paratici has leaked the Torres / Lo Celso story to put pressure on Inter?

Yeah this story is leaking all over, I wonder if it’s one of the multiple deals Fab does and the story is leaking now to put pressure on Inter. I also wonder if the United/Bastoni story is bollox from Inters side to try and put pressure on us.

Romero transfer last summer was similar. Spent ages waiting for them to sort Demiral and DiMarzio was out running exclusives every other night saying it was on, then off, then on again.

Got to get used to how Paratici works with lots of spinning plates and feeding Italian media etc. Until Bastoni or Inter come out and say he's staying there's still a chance imo.

If Paratici has caught wind that Lautaro Martinez is now available, maybe he's going for him at Inter and Torres as the LCB. Striker market is looking weak and, let's all be honest, Torres and Martinez is the better option over Bastoni and Jesus, for example.

Or it could all be posturing? Who knows. It's fun though!

This is a good point. In fact it was kinda weird how quiet Di Marzio/Romano were on this until recently. Suggests it's getting close to decision time.

Just Inter being very opera-soap like. Nothing straight forward with them. Best way to put this. If you do a deal. Run for your life with your acquisition. Nothing is done with them, until it is too late to change.

Pau Torres is absolutely the one i dont want. I think hes a big downgrade personally and think hes nowhere near strong enough for this league.

With the ITK i guess its more about the GLC deal and the value of that on its own (ie they offering less that 20m) compared how attractive the Torres price is if we exchange (may mean a discount on the price rather than just his price- GLC price)

Conte wants a lcb no matter what as we have absolutely nobody besides Davies.

So while gvardiol is extremely unlikely and Bastoni our number 1 target, Torres is our next target imo.

Bremer isn’t a replacement for Bastoni. They wanted him for a long while we’ll before they consider selling Bastoni. He’s De Vrij’s long term replacement.

Bastoni and Bremer play different positions. Bremer is a CCB to replace de Vrij, who's apparently now up for sale.

Whoever replaces Bastoni will be a cheaper recruit. Seen Senesi (Feyenoord) linked, and other names

Posted previously about the situation, based on an Inter fan's insights - so take it with a pinch of salt - but Bremer/Bastoni are not a one in one out trade

Hasn't he stated his desire to stay at Inter though? What we must be careful of is last years situation with Martinez and Chelsea coming in and taking Lukaku thus resolving inters issues of needing to sell.

So hopefully behind all the smoke and mirrors we pushing hard from our end and if Paratic sees we not making headway with Bastoni then move on to the next target before other clubs take our option Bs as an example.

Bastoni to United rumors followed quickly by Torres to Spurs story…as the ITKs said all this points to Bastoni negotiations near close- Also , kind of says Inter certainly have a weaker hand given , stance is changing from Bastoni not for sale to , Bastoni also have another suitor…

Fully expecting Bastoni deal to be worked out by this international break and hopefully he does his medical before going to vacation
