The pie and chips brigade will still be moaning that they are all inverted though!

I think re our glut of AMs - Lamela and Lennon will go this window, and Dembele and Carroll will go in Jan (to balance the books on this window's overspend). I think Townsend will be kept around as our 4th wide player, as he's a similar style to the others/fits the system best.

The problem with our wingers is they are all inverted!

agreed!
Do you think we'll still get a striker in?

If we can get rid of Fazio, Lennon, Ade, Lamela and get a ST and DM of real quality this will have been a briliant window.

Didn't think Son would happen, seriously good signing.

Hell I hope so! Will certainly have the numbers though, as depth and balance finally shouldn't be a problem, even possibly without another signing!

The high line is what you should dislike, not the inverted wingers. When you shove the whole system up high, traditional wingers are useless, as the only thing they can do is provide hopeful crosses into organized opposition boxes. Inverted wingers have their center of gravity pointed inwards, so can move in to create amidst the congestion.

I also am not a fan of the high line, and I too would prefer to see more variation among the wingers. However, it isn't the fault of the inverted wingers, they are the effect of the cause which is the high line, and the most easily recognizable (thus why people blame them).

Nice analysis - but I really should have increased the boldness and font of the part of the message I was responding to in my shoddy attempt at humour! ;)

Yeah that's really holding back Barcelona, Chelsea, Real, and Bayern. Those damn inverted wingers.

If only we played more like a league 1 side.

Two footed wingers that can play inverted, pivoted or verted is what we need.

edit - & what we've got with Son

Get in.

Gonna dust off my Kim Jong-Un costume and buy a season ticket behind the goal

Will be interesting to see what the backup option would be to Berahino. I want to hold out hope for Berahino, but Its gotten increasingly hard since yesterdays events.

Lloris, Ericson and now Son, we are doing well at getting young(ish) talent that the rest of Europe is jealous of. (Would include Lamela too... But!)

agree we must have one of the youngest squads in the league - bit off topic sorry

Vardy and Gayle :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:

On a serious note, I'm both excited and frightened.
