This is not about money. Fee was already agreed and he can go to tribunal next year. If Dan's info is right then there must be something else to it.

hertyid on sancho: We tried as part of Walker deal apparently. Was holding things up so decided to pursue separately. Player definitely wants to come, and fee not an issue. Must be something else going on (if the journo is right).

Christ if true. Sancho deal was holding up City buying the best RB in the league, when all the negotiating power was with us (quality player, long contract, no need to sell), so we pursued Sancho separately?! I must be missing something.

We completed the Walker deal the day before he was to report to pre-season training. Poch did not want him here as a distraction - or for any other reason...

Delusionally hoping Foyth isn't one of the three as it'll mean not bringing in the type of player in my opinion along with a RB our squad is in desperate need of.

It's gearing up to Barkley becoming extremely close to signing in days leading up to deadline. Then on deadline day we loan out maybe Sissoko, which gets our hopes up we have a pacey attacking player lined up then all that happens is Barkley is announced at about 10:30pm.

I'd winner this 20 times if I could.

I really do hope we get the pacy attacking player though.

Loving all the discussion about how desperate we are for a pacey forward. This is the best the 'we need a pacey forward' thread has ever been. Shame about the 3/4 informative pieces of itk taking the thread off topic...

How desperate are we really for a pacey forward when we have Son and GKN on the books?

Dembele has said recently GKN's the quickest player he's ever seen (that includes Bale),

like Son, he may need a full season to settle. I know Son performed better in his first season but don't forget Son had moved countries before.so It wasn't a totally new experience.

Even if we don't get the pacey forward we all cherish, I don't think it will be the end of the world.

This is more like bipolar.
All the positivity from Sancho and Aurier ITK over the course of the week, obliterated by a few media stories.
We're all repeatedly told the media are often some way behind.
All we can do, is watch/wait.
Poch seems quite strong on his need for 3-4 signings, Hercules suggests (unless I misunderstood) the insider belief is they are in the bag.
Sit back and wait for any official announcements. In the interim, don't take all ITK and media comments as gospel, they are snapshots at best. Great to read (the ITK), but don't get hung up on it, things often change one way or another.
We have a manager with a clear idea of what he wants and needs, I'm sure that's being addressed accordingly.

He could have trained on his own, which often happens in these situations. I find it frustrating that we ensured he got a pre season with City, yet haven't got anyone in ourselves by the season start, let alone a pre season.
