I think it could be Dier, personally. Just because JJ seemed to mention Lascelles wasn't going to happen. Dier would fit what we need (right on the cusp of being a potential starter, imposing CB, right age and shouldn't be too expensive) really well in my opinion.

I'm sure SSN said today another club(I don't remember) were in for Lascalles, now I know SSN are a horses arse but where would they get that story, unless of course they heard about us but didn't get the right club.
I reckon it's pretty clear we are looking for a CB as we were obviously looking at Lovren, I reckon the club has assessed the situation and decided there are a whole bunch of CB's of a similar standard, let's be honest who really stands out head and shoulders above the others, so won't get into an auction and will mop up after the big money has been spent.

It was their favourite manager's team, qpr.

Just can't help but think Hugo signing a new contract was told our transfer plans specifically in that we were going for two of his fellow countrymen in Schneiderlin and Griezmann.

I know, I know, optimistic.

You deserve a big fat rainbow.

Can't say I know much about Dier tbh. Isn't he English?

Yup, born in England but has been in Portugal since his was 14.

Has picked up some caps for the England U21/20/18 teams.

Haven't seen much of him, but looks a big kid who is actually a bit athletic and can play on the ball a bit..

Was the captain of Everton's U18 side while on loan there in the 11/12 season.

So if English, but never played any part of the youth career for an English/Welsh club, that equals not home grown?

Like Halter Top Day (unofficial day in Chicago when the weather is finally warm enough for ladies to release the hounds), Stoof Stamp Day is a day of celebration!
