Eh that's very pessimistic - by all accounts we have Lloris almost out the door and clearly lots of work being done on Ndombele as well - Ndombele is the big one, if we can finally get rid of him that's a huge chunk of wages off the books for a start. Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water just yet, still plenty of time to get things done. It's not like we only have a few days left.
Maybe but the pace things move around here - if we have the outs done in a week to ten days, being optimistic for a moment, that leaves a few days left. And you know clubs will then stick a few extra quid on top ("it's too late in the window" etc etc).

So yeah, I guess you could say I'm pretty pessimistic. That's fair.

That ITK sounds the same as it does at this point every summer. (Not a dig at the ITK)

Quite deflating but is anyone honestly surprised?

I think there’s a big chance our business is done in terms of incomings.

Yeah but we can do several things at once as well - have signings all lined up ready to go for when we get people out the door. We don't just wait for one thing to happen to then start something else (I hope)

I have never run a football club so obviously not an expert on the subject, but I would suspect that a player we want to sell has to agree to the sale. Just a thought.

September can't come early enough.

Whilst it would be wrong to ignore the significance of Ndombele’s wages, this isn’t the whole of the problem. It’s much more of an issue in terms of squad size.
we need three more players realistically.
But we have to avoid having the following players kicking around picking up wages with absolutely no chance of playing:
Lloris
Ndombele
Dier
Reguilon
Spence
Tanganga
Sanchez

this is especially an issue when you factor in sessegnon and Gil (both injured) who are also unfavoured.

Don't see Sanchez going anywhere.

I wouldn't be too devastated with our best 4 CBs being:

VDV
Romero
Sanchez
A.N.Other

That may be rose tinted spectacles with Sanchez's last few performances but I'd actually be all up for a redemption arc for him.

If A.N.Other is Romero quality or Sanchez quality it makes a big difference! If you're talking about a 4th choice CB coming in, then I think you're wrong. Sanchez as 4th choice is fine, but we need a starting CB.

Ah, that's where we differ. I no longer hope with this club. Too many windows have been and gone for me to assume that level of competence.

I've already made my peace with it.

Things starting to move perhaps:

Lloris - Lazio
Sanchez - Monaco
Hjobjerg - Atletico
Spence - Palace
Tanganga - Inter

Nothing on Reguilon
Dier and N'Dombele happy to sit around and take the money.

agreed - that wasn't in order! If not a starter, then a very good young player like VDV

At this point, Atletico Madrid needs extra funds to meet Tottenham's valuation for the Pierre transfer. They've suggested Felix to Tottenham, but Felix prefers Barcelona. Notably, Tottenham has had a longstanding interest in felix.
Ange emphasises his preference for players who truly desire to join the team.

Felix was the one I felt we should be going for as it was also favourable they wanted Pierre. I dont think its a negative that he wants to go to Barca, I think most players would

Would have no idea what position he’d suit for us to be honest.
