How is it different to a relegation clause?

I have no problem with a relegation clause, but say you finished 5th and you were building a team with Kudus starring in that team and you lose that player that may stop or slow the progression. I can understand wanting to leave because of relegation but not if everything is going well. Feels a bit mercenary to me.

Sorry to ask, but would it ever be a consideration to make a ‘Juve Players ITK’ thread or something like that when there’s ITK like what was posted last night?

Would keep the guessing out of this thread obviously, but would also give us all a place to discuss the possibilities of it?

Yeah I mean it’s easy to see why a player would want such a clause, but it’s also obvious that the precedent would be terrible, every player would want to negotiate this if possible and it’s much easier to just reject release clauses as a policy than to individually consider them for every signing and contract renewal. Plenty of other creative ways we can incentivize a player.

I think it depends on how good he is. If we think he would propel us back into the champions league positions it might be worth it. You don't add a champions League release clause for new players when you're already in the champions League.

Regarding the two Italian Players we are in for, Its pretty ovbious its Vlahovic and Bremer. Juve are still in a over their head from a finanical point of view, and with a new board coming in this year my guess is they want to free up the two biggest wage bills to get some money and reinvest. So we can just sit back and focus on moving players out and wait for Juve to crumble because non of the European clubs can afford Vlahovic or Bremer wages at this point. Glad to hear that, because replaceing Kane with Vlahovic, Bremer and Douglas Luiz who also have been mentioned in here by ITKs would I my eyes be a statement of ambition. COYS!

Is there any likelihood with the Dusan Vlahovic links from La Gazetta dello Sport? Ever since we were linked back in Jan 2022 when he was at Fiorentina this has seemed a no brainer. All dependent on other parties etc but this would be such a statement signing if we have any chance at all?

Whilst I don’t disagree with you, it’s not a read only (which is what you’re describing).

Personally have no issue when this thread is locked apart from updates.

But when it is open for people to post, I suppose we should let the mods do the moderating
