Anybody watching the qualifying rounds of The America's Cup?

It was first contested in 1851 making it the oldest trophy in international sport, predating the modern Olympic Games by 45 years. The boats being used are quite different now!

Check out this pretty epic capsize which happened yesterday:

Not been watching it but I do check out the reports when I see them. It's quite a difficult concept to get your head around in regards to qualifying races and how that affects who becomes the challenger. Am I right that GB have never won the Americas Cup?

Correct, GB has never won it. Full footage is all on YouTube and exciting stuff. These boats are machines, the technology being used is unreal.

GB have a good chance to become the challenger this year and go up against the NZ current holders.
