Looks like a 433

Glover
Ross, Maghoma, Styliannidies, Walker-Peters,
Amos, Pritchard (c), Harrison
Daly, Loft, Georgiou.

Harrison again being tried out in a different position from the central striker role now that Loft (new first year) is getting the lone striker role. Should develop his passing skills, hope it compliments his striking skills !

Was going to say a couple days back that I dont like Harrison on the wings. Dont think thats his style. But if we are to play 433 and Loft uptop then I think hed be more suited as the most advanced in a 3 man midfield basically a no10. Think his hold up and link up play may see him better used as a second striker like Kane. They both have similar styles with a different skill set.

Anyway decent result today against an obviously good youth setup, with a young side and a midfielder in defense. We also have some away on international duty so considering results aren't everything this is a good one in terms of development.

Adam Smith started today for Bournemouth. Won a dodgy pen as well. Still don't get what happened with him.

I agree, complete mystery to me - can only speculate on things like loss of confidence. Hope he thrives at Bournemouth and goes up to the levels I thought he could play at.

Agree with that, imo Harrison probably has the skill set (like Sherringham and Kane) to be a no 10 or striker and if he can consistently demonstrate that and carry that through to the senior team that will be very useful.

Certainly agree he will never be a winger, but a right sided or left sided auxillary striker - maybe ?

Does he have much pace?

He asked to leave mate. I spoke to his brother a few months back and there still quite bitter about the whole thing. They felt there was too much favoritism at the club in terms of opportunities.

I say bitter because I was trying to discuss it with him and he was virtually shouting at me getting angry about it!

Adam Smith was never really good enough anyway to be honest. I met him once at the players lounge when my mate got us some VIP tickets and he was a very slight bloke, probably 5ft7ish and very thin. I can imagine that he would have a rough time if he was up against a big strong winger. Eric Dier is 3 years his junior and he looks a great player so far so I dont think its a bad thing we have sold him.

I can understand that - but to some degree that's the nature of football 'its all about opinions'.

Adam Smith always looked a very good RB to me - but Kyle Walker's athleticism is phenominal so no great surprise he is in the team and not Smith. Smith went on a number of loans and the last couple in the championship started well but ended with Smith out of the team which must be 'dispiriting' but the only way through that is to train harder and try to get back into the team.

Maybe I'm wrong but Smith semed to give up and go to Bournemouth where initially he didn't play - and maybe it wa because he was expecting to play all the time which was his downfall as he started so well (think made debut pre-season when about 17 and looked good).

Shame maybe he didn't stick around at Spurs until this pre-season when he might have had an opportunity with a new boss, but can understnd him wanting to move. Hope to see him play at PL level at some time - he is good enough with the right attitude and right manager

I just think that he never seemed to fill out. Maybe we thought he would but he didn't seem to change physically much from when he was 17/18 so its understandable we moved him on.

http://africanfootball.com//news/452054/Musa-Yahaya-shines-for-Spurs

Something strange going on with this lad? I've not read anything on this site or others that confirms any of this is true.

He's played in at least one Spurs X1 match behind closed doors in pre-season (as reported by a trusted source) but none in front of a public audience.

His agent has no reason not to downplay his client's achievements - but wish he'd shut up personally

Am hoping we may have reports from Celta Vigo where he was supposedly going on loan

It was originally rearranged from today to the Saturday just gone. Heard nothing about it on Saturday though so assume it was moved again to some time in the future.
