I am having a little difficulty finding out if this only applies to the Prem or does it apply to all competitions? (FA and carling cups) Does any know the facts?

I am pretty sure it is just the Premier League as the football league rejected the proposal. So i presume the FA and CC will be 5. Either way i am so glad this rule is in place as it gives players such as Bostock and Taarabt a lot more chance of getting some pitch time

I also have posted this on another site,,So far i have had every possible permatation....One suggested FA accepted, therfore FA cup = 7 but the football league rejected, SO CC = 5.....It seems no one is certain...I have tried to search but failed to fine a definitive answer

only thing i can contribute is that in football manager it only applies to the premier league .. cc and fa cup are both still 5 subs.

I was just going to say, well they do try and get it right, so it could well be correct...But in fact it turns out to be 100% wrong.

The 7 man sub Rule applies to all 3 comps!

Thanks to sicknote10 on COYS, who provided the answer...and link

Eek Shudder.

I was initially a fan of the lad and thought he might come good. Unfortunately, this pre-season has me thinking otherwise. I won't completely write him off yet though. But in general, yes, it's great news for fringe players.
