Fair play for trying 3 at the back, but we used to do that and gave up... can see why.

Aurier can’t play again for a bit. I’ll put my boots on if needs be...

Gazza
Foyth Toby Sanchez Jan
N’Dombele Eriksen/Winks
Moura Alli Lo Celso
Harry

Jan could easily swap for Rose if fit. Erisksen if you go for quality over heart.
God knows as AM. Dele still gets in dangerous positions. Moura looks best of the rest. Bit thin otherwise without Son. Lo Celso looks a talent but don’t know where...

Can we get Moussa D back? All gone wrong since he left...

Dont think we have found someone that could move the ball from our half of the pitch to an offense as he did in his prime!

Lamela has to start this one. And thank god Sissoko is back. Winks but no Winks, please. Sessegnon is good (and will come good) but is not working at the moment, so should sit this one out. As for the defence, fuck knows!
Why Lamela?

Someone said "why Lamela " my reply would be " he will not lay down and be walked over he is a real warrior "
There was a period where he was the only one with any spirit for the battle for control in. a match in short he was almost the heartbeat of our offence and defence . I await the " Lamela is crap " views.

Aurier probably needs a rest, Southampton play with two up top so we’ll probably see an inside full-back in Vertonghen. Ndombele needs to play if we want a result but 98 minutes a couple of days ago will see him at the bench. Lucas starting, as well as Kane. Dele? Who knows but risky with his hamstrings. Lo Celso is going to be on the bench.

4-2-3-1: Gazzaniga - KWP, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen - Eriksen, Dier - Sissoko, Dele, Lucas - Kane.

Subs: Vorm, Foyth, Aurier, Ndombele, Winks, Lo Celso, Sessegnon.

Lamela will probably be involved though. (Which is good).

Because he adds nothing more than what we already have.
Not really, he always runs and fights like there is no tomorrow. He is fast and has an eye for a pass. And let's face it, knows where the goal is also. Cannot think of a better replacement for Son than him.

Who is fast? As I can only assume your not talking about Lamela.

The Lamela nay sayers I wonder how many have actually been at the games where he has played because if you had you would never but never question his commitment and I still standby the fact that for a time when fully fit he was the got to man in fact the heartbeat of the team
Someone said that they were glad I did not pick the team whereas I can say I know a man with heart and commitment and if he stays fit and I know its a big if he will prove his worth and Jose will pick him on a regular basis ..

Biggest worry we have with Soton is Ward Prose set pieces and Redmond down the wings
These happens to be where we are the weakest even at full strength
Agreed Caused us problems at home

Thought we nulified their cross field ball when Dier in CM came on so playing him should stop it from the start

Maybe so, but without those key ingredients we will also win fuck all. Just look at how Norwich was dominating us on that first half on saturday.

Also, Lamlea offers much more than just heart and commitment. He makes us a more combative and offensive unit, when he is on the field we very rarely fade out from a match or go missing, If he can stay fit, he will be one of Mourinho's key players.
