They have rested all there big players today so they will be nice and fresh to run at our crap defence.

Don’t want to see Jan play, he’ll get torn to shreds. We need athletic full-backs for Liverpool's offensive transitions and also have to play press resistant midfielders, so no Dier. Assuming Ndombele and Sissoko are still out, I’d go with:
Gazzaniga
Aurier Sanchez Toby Sess
GLC Foyth Winks
Lucas Dele Son

Winks and GLC would have to cover lots of ground defensively if we played something like this. Also, yes I know I’ve put Foyth dm, but his ability to play cb affords us tactical flexibility. Plus, he’s a better passer than Dier.

We have to play 3 in the middle. We will be torn to shreds if we do not. Liverpool set up with 3 mids who do the hard work that allows the front 3 to play. We need to match their 3 with ours otherwise they'll dominate that area of the pitch.

Based on what I've just seen it doesn't matter what team we put because L'Pool's kids could beat us. Yes Everton had the best chances in the 1st half kept hitting them at the GK, 2nd half their kids gave Everton's best team a beating. It might have only been 1-0, but Everton never had a shot on goal & were never in the game 2nd half.

Can we not turn up and forfit the game and lose 3-0? Might be a better option than putting a team out just now. :cautious:

Should we just close the thread and go straight to team against Middlesbrough?

Any players we think can be useful going forwards should be rested for this game, to avoid irreparable psychological damage the impending historical shellacking would do to them.

This but would switch Lamela and Lo Celso around. Like others though, not that I greatly care and I won't even be watching the match.

Can you imagine if the roles were reversed. We’d just beaten Liverpool in the CL final had started the season on fire, they were struggling and we’d beaten them in our last three games. Would anyone be confident we would go up to Anfield and take them apart as everyone’s predicting they will do to us. It wouldn’t happen imo, their fans would be on top of us and make it a very uncomfortable day. That’s the massive difference between the two clubs and why we will struggle to win trophies on a regular basis in the future. We’re just to much of a nice club to play against on and off the pitch.
