The only changes I’d make is Lo Celso in for Maddison as he had an injury recently and maybe Royal too as rotation. Other than that keep it the same, rotate 3/4 of the team and you’re likely gonna lose. We’ve got an international break after the weekend, just play the first team. We need to take the domestic cups ultra seriously and with no Europe we can do so without putting much extra games into players legs. Get a comfortable lead and sub players off after an hour.

Am I the only one who doesn't give two hoots about the league Cup?

Seriously, it's barely silverware. Not much difference to those preseason cups. Great if you win it, but who cares?

Even the times we have won it barely register with me. The FA Cup is special, the league and champions league are what it is all about. League Cup, conference league and to a lesser extend Europa League are meaningless nothing cups.

How can any Spurs fan turn their nose up at a cup competition? What are you on mate? We havent won ANYTHING in 15 years! By the way, this is why other fans all hate us - attitudes like this.

My guess is

Vic - Royal - Sanchez - VdV - Davies - Biss - Sarr - Lo Celso - Perisic - Son - Solomon

Potentially Skipp for Sarr and I believe Ange will want his captain starting today.

If you don't take it serious, you'll never win it. And we're not looking likely to win CL or PL anytime soon. League Cup, FA Cup and Conference League, maybe Europa League are our likely trophies and we need trophies. We are at least 5 behind where we should be since the 2000s

Don't want whole-sale changes, we don't need it this early in the season. Get a few minutes in the legs of Solomon, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg and get a goal or two for Richarlison.

I'm sort of the same opinion. However, winning trophies no matter how small, is surely a step towards winning significant silverware. And as @HildoSpur mentioned, we can't really turn our nose up at any silverware with our recent history.

With no European games this season we should 100% go for the domestic cups.

Taking a tournament easy, rotating everyone and getting embarrassed also creates a loser mentality. No point in taking a sledge hammer to the face of project Ange. Rotate one or two every game, that's the way to stay fresh while always performing like a team. Trust any player in the squad to play any game, if you don't then that player shouldn't be registered.

Who cares? I hate this notion that football is all about the trophies. Fuck that, there are hundreds of clubs, millions of fans - should everyone else just give up supporting unless they support City, Liverpool, UTD, Chelsea or Arsenal?

The only 'fans' who go on about trophies are the plastic ones who flit between which ever big club is winning everything this year.

Of course, I WANT to win but not just for the sake of winning something. I want to see us at the top of the Premier League, in the champions league final again. Dont care if it never happens, I still hope.

League Cup is a 2 bit trophy for me. Always has been, always will be.

We should aim to win every single competition we enter - to look down your nose and not take a cup seriously is why we get dumped out of cups by a league 1 or championship sides regularly over the last few years. We as fans deserve better than this. You however seem happy for us to continue to be the laughing stock of the league. According to you only fake fans 'go on' about winning trophies. Are you having a laugh?

On the plus side Fulham London's oldest professional football team formed in 1879 have never won a major trophy , that's 144 years , makes our 15 years look quite good :)

I hope we don't rotate much as this is a tricky draw and we may get more a more favourable draw next round.

I'd like to see

Perisic - Son - Solomon
Lo Celso - Maddison
Bissouma
Udogie - VDV - Romero - Royal
Vicario

I expect there will be more rotation though

Does changing Udogie and Porro for Davies and Royal not completely change the way we play? Will be interesting to see what Ange does but I’m hoping he won’t rotate too much.

I'm amazed that some people turn their nose up at a domestic trophy, like we are swimming in them recently.
