I love how Sanchez has one good game and people are putting him in.
Too early for Micky imo

think it’ll be Davies tbh

I think Ange will go:

Vicario
Emerson Romero Davies Udogie
Bissouma
Sarr --- Maddison
Kulusevski --------------- Son
Kane
I'd go:

Vicario
Emerson Romero VDV Udogie
Bissouma
Sarr --- Maddison
Kulusevski ------------ Son
Kane

Bench:

Hugo/Austin, Porro, Sanchez, Davies, PEH, GLC, Solomon, Perisic, Richarlison

Think this is very likely.

However if VDV is deemed to be fit enough and looks decent in training then I think there's an outside chance he throws him in at the deep end. You never know how different managers approach these things and while some like Pep will take weeks to ease new players into the team others will just get them on the pitch at the first opportunity.

Barcelona might have bought Sanchez by the weekend.

I think it’ll be the team that played against Shakhtar but Bissouma in for Hojbjerg assuming he isn’t hurt after the battering he got today and maybe VDV for Davies if ready.

Baffled to see people putting Sanchez in, when he’s likely leaving.
(He should be staying though, instead of Dier imo)

You start van de Ven and begin building the chemistry between him and Romero now rather than against United. He has plenty of time this week to train and learn the system. Presumably he hasn’t forgot how to defend.

Vicario
Royal - Romero - Sanchez - Udogie
Bissouma
Sarr - Maddison
Deki - Kane - Son

It might be too early to start VDV. Plus, Sanchez did really well for the majority vs Barca and could earn a start.

Subs: Solomon, Perisic, VDV, Richy, GLC, Skipp, Porro, Forster, Davies

There's zero point in waiting to bring on VDV. Just throw him into shark pool of PL, let him swim through it.
I prefer him to get a game against Brentford before United game.

Lo Celso has had arguably better preseason than Maddison. I want him in XI even though it might look unbalanaced a bit. I think we can take this chance against Brentford, who lack Toney this time.

Kulu redeemed in 2nd half against Shaktar -so he stays.
My XI :
Vicario
Emerson Romero VDV Udogie
Lo Celso Bissouma Maddison
Kulu Kane Son

VdV has only just arrived and Sanchez was by far the best out of him, Dier and Tanganga in pre season. Did you see the Barcelona game?

Agree he is not the long term solution there, but he has the pace for a high line and it does look better than in a system where we invite pressure all game.

Vicario;
Emerson, Romero, VDV, Udogie;
Maddison, Bissouma, GLC;
Kulu, Kane, Perisic.

Subs: Austin, Davies, Porro, PEH, Sarr, Son, Richarlison.
This would be my preferred line up, with Skipp, Son and Solomon to get decent minutes off the bench.

However, I don't think Son will be dropped despite Perisic's excellent pre season form. I am unsure yet how Ange will handle VdV, if he eases him in, or throws him straight in there

Bissouma was great yesterday, but he ran himself into the ground. I think Ange will start Hojbjerg in his place.

Coming up against Mbuemo, I think Sanchez might have played himself into contention for a place v Brentford.

Guy says that Ange will throw VDV in though. He talks about building a mentality of being brave, so I don’t think he’ll be scared to throw him in.
