Gonna be interesting, villa went full championship manager and just signed everyone with decent stats.

They could either be a terrible mess or be another wolves and totally catch us off guard

Eriksen has to play surely. Only reason why he shouldn't play is if a deal for him has actually been agreed but as of now he's a Spurs player, and a valuable one at that in which our chances of winning are increased with him on the pitch.

Son suspended first two games along with Foyth, doubt Lo Celso up to speed only returned to training recently , Dele injured, so some might have to rethink their teams. On his pre season showing Lamela first on the team sheet.

Think winks will start in midfield next to Sissoko. Not sure Ndombele is fit enough to start just yet and obviously lo Celso isn't going to play.
We're a bit light assuming Lo Celso isn't ready. Either TN or Eriksen will have to play.

I can’t see Lo Celso being among the 18 (and obviously Sessegnon injured). One of Eriksen or Ndombele to start - rest of team picks itself.

Have a feeling we may see:

Lloris

KWP Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Winks

Sissoko Ndombele

Eriksen

Lucas Kane

Hopefully with Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Lamela as options from bench if so. Don't know if Sessegnon has been training though!

Would much much rather see Eriksen, Lamela and Lucas in a three behind Kane though. The flow of the football just seems better in that shape.

Unlikely the new boys will feature - not even a training session with the team!

I'm seeing we only have 3 in that link. Foyth and Dele are missing

Didn't know Sissoko was injured
Injured: Alli, Dier, Davies, Aurier, Wanyama, Sessegnon, Foyth. All potential starters apart from probably Wanyama.

Lloris
Alder Sanchez Vert
Kwp Ndombele Winks Rose
Lamela Kane Moura

I know 3-4-3 hasn't been the most popular choice but in my opinion our rb is a weak spot and I don't see too much benefit of the additional midfielder whilst Lo Celso isn't ready, dele is out and Eriksen needs to be reintegrated. I think I'm putting our best ready 11 players on the pitch.

But I suspect Poch will go:

Lloris
KWP Alder Vert Rose
Winks
Ndombele Sissoko
Lamela
Kane Moura

Even if Eriksen is ready, in my opinion Lamela did enough to deserve that spot and it's his to lose.

I think there's every chance Lo Celso is on the bench. Played his last game for Argentina only a month ago, and has been back training since last Tuesday.

Plus, with 8 first-tamers injured/suspended, our bench options are going to be shoddy as fuck without him.

Revising this now the window is done.

Lloris
KWP
Rose
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Winks
Sissoko
Ndombele
Lamela
Lucas
Kane

Bench of:

Gazzinga
Toby
Dier / Davies
Skipp
Eriksen
N'koudou
Parrott

Few question marks in here though.

Even though, in my opinion, Toby is our best defender, I feel like, with him being in his last year, Poch will want to make a statement by giving Sanchez the nod from the off.

Similar situation with Eriksen. Will his head be right? Can see Poch going with a less up to speed ndombele because of this, even though he'd probably prefer not to throw him right in.

Dier or Davies depending on their fitness on bench with Parrott and N'koudou covering the lack of depth until others are back or fit.

Sissoko in for Ndombele when he starts to flag and to help seal the W
Lo Celso in for Winks or Eriksen during the last 10 minutes to delight the fans

Ideally, Eriksen gets his brain back into gear and realises we're on the verge of something special. First step to getting him to sign a new contract is to include him in our plans. We've almost always been a better team with him on the pitch. Bench him now and we throw away a chance to get him back on board.

Bit OT, but as there's no match thread...

It's weird going in to a PL game and not knowing who or what you're going to be up against. Villa have signed 12(?) players this summer, that's more than we've signed in the last 5 or 6 windows. Hopefully we're playing them at a time where they haven't had time to glue together. It'll be a free hit for them, so maybe they won't be too defensive.
