Please play Lo Celso and Ndombele together for at least 30 minutes
totally this....for me Sissoko is great at places like Anfield for his physical presence as we try and resist waves of attacks but dont want him starting at home against teams where we will need to create more as his passing and movement are too ponderous.

Matter of time before one of our key players gets a muscle injury if Jose keeps starting them every league game over Christmas.

Benching 1 or 2 key players on rotation over the next 3/4 games might end up saving us losing a few long term. HK did his thigh on new years day last year after playing every Christmas game. Aurier and Hojberg looked particularly fucked at the end of last night's game, wasn't there a rumour Aurier was a doubt for the game beforehand too?

Leicester i'd bring in Doc, Tanguy and Bale (if fit) for Serge, Sissoko and Bergwein.

I noticed a few posts with a straight 433 and I agree, that would be the way to go vs. Leicester.

Lloris
Aurier (obviuosly) Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon

Højbjerg, Sissoko, Lo Celso

Lucas (preferably Bale or Lamela, but...) Kane, Son

No. Did you see how that worked in Europa league? Those two cannot play together with our style.

Did you see Sissoko play CM for the past few seasons?

It's just about finding the right balance.

I'm expecting Doherty to play and Sissoko (giving him a break) and I want to see Ndombele in with Hojbjerg with LoCelso Infront of them.

Lloris
Aurier Dier Rodon Reguilon
Ndombele Hojbjerg
Bale LoCelso Son
Kane

Gotta go full strength vs Leicester obviously, but slightly concerned about the Stoke game mid week. Do we go with a Europa style 2nd choice team for that one with the Wolves game in mind? Are our reserves strong enough to beat Stoke away? (yes they're better than Stoke on paper, but they struggled away in Europe). Alternatively do we play a few first choice players in the cup game at the risk of burning them out going into the Christmas period? Tough one.

Personally I’d look to freshen things up on Sunday. Maybe even giving Son or Kane a game off. This is why we brought in Vinícius and Bale, they’ve got to be given the opportunities and when they do they have to take them. Wouldn’t mind seeing Dele starting either as he surely has a point to prove.

Its time to make a change where we are weak. And that is passing from midfield. Last night was abysmal. Gio was so, so, so poor and part of the reason we were under so much pressure the whole game. However, i think we need him to start because we do know how good he is. Harsh on Sissoko who has been great for us this season, but we need that extra passing quality. We need someone who can dribble out of pressure and hold on to the ball a bit. We badly needed it yesterday yet all you said it wasnt the game for him(it was precisely the game for him). Ndombele has to start every game. And play more than 65’.

Jose has also got to let us play. We cant keep inviting pressure for 90’. It’s not sustainable. It’s cost us 5 crucial points & the league title.

Lloris
Aurier Toby Dier Reguilon
Ndombele Hojbjerg Lo Celso
Dele Kane Son

Gazzaniga, Rodon, Doherty, Winks, Sissoko, White, Bergwijn, Bale, Vinicius

And also, hey Premier League, theres no point in allowing 9 on the bench without 5 subs. Stop half assing it. Either stick or twist.

I'd play reserves and have the cavalry on the bench should we need it.

The Europa says we always need the cavalry. I wouldnt trust them in a PL game. Wouldnt start Lucas, Winks, Vinicius, Doherty, Sanchez, Hart or Davies. Only players Id think about are Tanganga, Bale & Dele.

Good point. We bought those two, we need to use them to see what they can do. Especially Vini.

Yeah surely we can give Vincius the first half and if it's going bad just bring on Kane? Be nice to give him a rest

Man alive this game is important...whichever team loses could really find themselves wobbling. Conversely, the victors will be buoyed going in to the Christmas fixtures. Think it could be super close.

7-1 Spurs.

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Dier Reguilon
Sissoko Hojberg
Bale Ndombele Son
Kane

Subs: Hart Rodon Davies Winks Lo Celso Lucas Dele Bergwijn Vinicius

Squad: Gazzaniga Doherty Sanchez
Injured: Lamela Tanganga

Even with 9 subs still no place for snachez or Doherty and that's with lamela and tanganga injured. This is a very good squad
