Totally agree. I think Lamela will develop and end up great, but Chadli is a genuine goal threat and we need arsenal on the back foot.

They are very beatable. Villa are just shocking and have basically given them 3 goals on the break. I can see it being quite a nervy one as both teams prefer to counter.

Difficult to pick the team but it would be nice to have bentaleb back. If he is I'd go with Mason, bentaleb and Dembele centrally behind kane eriksen and Chadli.
Walker and rose at fullback with verts and dier. That is about as strong as we have although you could make an argument for Fazio over died and lamela for Dembele.

Kane will be well up for this and he will give their centre backs a real working over. Can't bloody wait.

Really like you line-up. Hope the Bony goal means Nabil coming back early.

I can see the possible fear in playing Fazio due to him possibly being a bit cumbersome and therefore perhaps looking at a different option but if that were the case I'd 100% go with dier. Has played with Jan several times already and looked relatively solid. Good on the deck, good in the air and reads the game very well, add to this he's deceptively quick.

That said, Fazio will hopefully negate the threat of Giroud and seeing as they play a lot off him, this could be key in stopping Sanchez, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott etc being effective.

Yeah I went for Dier in the team I picked. Probably the safer choice.

I don' t get the impression Fazio is the type of player that can just slot into side, I think he needs to be playing a consistently to on top form. In saying that I would rather Fazio to start, even though he has some hold your breath moments when he is in the team we don't get bullied by the opposition

All I can say is there will be goals. Fortunately/unfortunately I'm going to be working so won't be able to actually watch the game.

Absolutely massive, pivotal game in our season. If they win, they go 5 points ahead, have momentum and the confidence from that will easily take them into the top 4.

If we win then being above them again, with a cup final to come should hopefully kick us on but who knows, with mid season cup finals it can lead to a drop off, especially with so many games to be played.

I just hope we work all week on being as tight as possible. Both defences are there to be got at (especially ours) and with the goals they have in their team from their front 5/6 we will have to negate that threat.

Personally I can see this easily ending up 4-4. There will be goals that's for sure

I wouldn't put that much pressure on it as a fan as we're still finding our feet and need to still look to steady progress.

Would be epic to get a win but don't set yourself up to come crashing down if we lose to a free-scoring scum team who can counter and hurt you in a flash. We still have defensive issues that leave us very vulnerable to highly effective attacking teams.

Nabil coming back but doubt he will just walk back into the team, been playing every game in ACN for Algeria and has a long flight back, could be an option for Liverpool. A shame because I think he and Mason in midfield is our best CM partnership with Erikson,Chadli and Townsend behind Kane. Basically same as Chelsea home game. Also don't understand playing Dier infront of Fazio, the partnership with JV has been solid infront of Hugo and I would be far happier seeing him mark Giroud then Dier who has done well but vs Sheffield Utd I thought had some dodgy moments a better team would exploit more.

Yep, i'd be very surprised if he starts - Poch seems to be quite reticent in throwing people in and it would be pretty poor of him to just bench Mason/Stambouli who are both playing well.

Great to have him back for Liverpool though - yay, options!

That's definitely the team I'd play, now that Bentaleb will be back. He has a full week to recover and then prepare. Don't see the problem with that at all.
