4-2-2-2 is the way to go. 4-4-2 is great and all but so far doesn't allow for a defensive minded player - something that leaves us cruelly exposed. With this kind of formation we can push them into middle where their weak midfield will be left lacking and at the same time push play out wide working to our strengths.

At the rate Soldado is going I'd try bringing him on as a sub. Maybe playing against the opposition when they've been worked a bit will make it easier for him to get that elusive goal.

Smith is over 21 so needs to be registered in 25 man squad but was not - I think Spurs only registered 24 players (as Lamela and Erikssen count as u21's for PL purposes) despite registering the likes of Obika and Dawkins. The unknown is whether Spurs have managed to register Smith since the original PL ;lists were sunmitted. If not the choices sare probably Ryan Fredericks or Kyle Naughton !

Delighted to see you've gone very youth centric but I cannot see Sherwood starting Veljkovic, Stewart and Bentaleb (plus possiubly Fredericks) in one match - love the idea but unrealisttic ? Think Dawson will play - after Chirches display and poor heading to date, I'd love to see Veljkovic or Stewart accompany him but think they would come on from the bench rather than start.

I like this alot.

Ade was also shit last time out, some people say it was due just coming back from a long time out and then playing so many games off the trot. I say he needs a break and that lineup looks just about right. As long as Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli and Paulinho can all bomb in to that box and really give the service and support that Soldado needs.

And this is the difference between us and City playing 442, obviously much better players but their 442 has power in the right places, and creativity in the right places.

No line up I can think of in 4-4-2 really seems to fit our players. But this seems as attractive as any at home to Stoke where we HAVE to score goals.

Getafe rarely played 4-3-3, they were mostly setup as 4-2-3-1.
