Depends where u are coming from it’s easier to park at a station and jump on train or bus won’t be packed on Sunday so it will be easy to get away providing there ain’t no strikes
Pretty sure it's close to sold out, so allow plenty of time when leaving

I'm taking my 7, soon to be 8 year old nephew. It's his second game, he's desperate to come back for more even though his first was the 3-2 home loss to Bournemouth last season in April. Please Spurs, I know you give us fans a hard time by serving up disappointment, but I'm hoping the new season and big Ange and different tactics will pep things up for my nephew at least. The joy at getting back to 2-2 followed by disappointment on his poor little face when Richy miss that sitter to make it 3-2 win only for the Cherries to go up the other endvof the pitch to bag a 3-2 winner with virtually the last kick of the game was a harsh blow on someone so young. His optimism is lovely to see, I remember being his age and full of hope for Spurs. Many decades later and I'm an old cynic

He's well chuffed I've got him One Hotspur plus membership. His mum (my sister) is also coming, she's never been and isn't really a football fan. As his birthday is this month I've warned her he will be on full pester power mode round the Spurs shop.

Yeah he's gonna be bored it's a little young.
I can't remember much before my 6th birthday and that's vague.
10 and above I remember well
Possibly couple years younger

At the other end of the age scale I'm taking a friend of mine who's in his sixties. He's never been to a football match of any kind before, being more of an opera person.

He took me to Glyndebourne a couple of months back when he found himself with a spare ticket and I said I'd reciprocate as a cultural exchange.

I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun.

Rather depends on the child. Have been with sons, nephews and friends ' kids.
A sporty 7+ year old who'll watch MotD etc will generally enjoy the game (if it's not a dull one).
And the experience of the stadium, the crowd etc helps.

A young kid might struggle to be focused for 90mons, but they'll have fun if they really like football.

But yes, plenty of 6-9yo kids may get bored if football isn't already a major interest

Bit of advice needed. My nephew who is 14 (nearly 15) wants to go to a match with me. He has a CRN. He lives in Torquay. I have a ST at the ground, so how can I actually plan a match when he will be able to come along?

It doesn’t have to be a tip top game but ideally a Saturday fixture would help for travel arrangements etc. How do I go about planning this?

If you get him a ticket on the exchange, i drive up from kingsteignton,(10 minutes from Torquay) to every game, my son who is 16 also comes with me, so happy to give your nephew a lift up and back if that helps at all?

That is a superb offer, thanks very much. Just need to sort it out with his Auntie as an idea. I’ll put it to her and get in touch. I’ll drop you a PM. 👍

I always remember taking my twin boys to their 1st game in 2011, a pre season friendly against A.Bilbao (which happened to be the same day of the Tottenham riots)
They would have been 7 at the time, one who is really in to football loved it, talked none stop about it on the drive back home lol, the other got bored and fell asleep before half time lol. He enjoyed the excitement of going to the stadium etc, but the football not so much.
Guess it just about knowing what your kid is like and making that judgement. Even with my kid that loved it, any younger and he may have not taken much interest himself.

My five year old’s first game today and he loved it.

So patient with an overly proud dad wanting to take stacks of pictures and he was really quite invested in the game.

Learned the Glory Glory song, or some of it. Chanted for HK a few times and was not happy when we played backwards instead of forwards 😂😂

Missed HK’s penalty and fourth goal’s due to toilet breaks.

No tablet or distractions needed, just snacks and sweets.

A really really good day out and a memory that’ll last with me and hopefully him forever. He’s already said that he wants to go again

Love these, keep them coming would love to know how the other first games went. My little girl turned 4 yesterday and she keeps asking to come along to every home game but thinking may wait till she’s 7-8 before her first game

Love this mate!!! Can’t wait for my son to be old enough to come to his first game with me 😊 for now it’s just no sleep and many nappies 🤣 love these stories and it very much seems anything aged about 4-10 it really depends on the kid and how much they enjoy football etc as to how long they will pay attention for on the day.

Took my 4 and 6 year old girls to their first ever match today.
(well the 6yo has seen a few minutes of Verwood Town in the local local local league with 100 fans each week).
6yo did really well, watched the game joined in with the signing. So glad Harry was playing.
I would say the 4yo was probably too young. She asked to watch something on my phone after about 10/15 minutes. Her general sustained focus is improving so probably a challenge for her anyway.
Left after half time to find an ice cream :)
Either way a very proud Dad
And got to say the staff around the place were brilliant with them. A friendly like this was a nice introduction.

Great effort mate, as a fellow dad, tbh the idea of just getting the kids there and back with no dramas is a success in itself 😂 👏

Took my 8 year old to his first game. He had been looking at other clubs as support wavered due to shit results though reinforced the Spurs support today. He said it felt good seeing all Spurs fans.

Had a friend who came with his son and they visiting from abroad, no real alligence, though after today he is now a Spurs fan! And loved the game!

Exactly this.
Drove down and parked 20 minutes walk, with them, away. Not ready for the tubes, trains yet. But that went well.

Remember my Dad taking me to Wembley when I was six. Coming out I could lift my feet off the floor and the crowd of people carried me along. Squashing into packed tubes. That was brave!
Only one dipstick scuffing the back corner of our car on that Cambridge roundabout to report on the drama front 🙄
The girls did a brilliant job.
Smarties were a winn
