What did anyone think of his contribution... he seemed to be a bit more mature - there was only one real pointless ball at the end of a mazy run.. which had been his speciality

Good cameo, only player to actually do anything worthwhile in the 90 minutes, put in our only decent cross, made our only runs at the defence.

I think he deserves a chance tbh. The boy looks good, yeah hes still young and he has a lot to learn but when he came on he didnt look out of place. He was good on the ball, strong and skillful. He also made some simple passes rather than taking the whole team on.

Pointless ball?

It was creative and attack-mided, but the rest of the team were so sluggish and disinterested it merely trickled out of play.

It was a good cameo from the man on the back of my shirt, and he should really be getting more games than Malbranque, but we'll have to see.

I think it's interesting that he'd faded out of view for a bit.. now Ramos has brought him back into focus (unless he was injured - did I miss that one). Maybe he's been knuckling down...

It's a cliché, but he's either going to be a world beater or not learn how to manage his talent and disappear into the Belgian second division - let's hope it's the former.

I think it was an ok cameo, for a player whom we have minimal expectations of.

if Lennon had made some of the balls Taarabt did tonight he'd have been crucified.

i didn't think lennon was very good tonight but i had the misfortune of watching the match with 3 girls who were gobbing off to each other all match. when taarabt came on i thought he did alright. keeps the ball longer than necessary and acts as though he has something to prove every time he gets the ball but i can just about deal with that for now. wouldn't mind seeing him get a few games under his belt, either starting or off the bench.

a few uneeded runs but looked more likely to create than most the midfield did which is worrying and shows how poor we were

great cross for the o'hara volley

we just seemed to panic when we had half chances which was embarassing at times

I'd have watched the lesbo threesome, to be honest.

dnt think it was a pointless ball, it was the right idea just wasn't on the same wavelenth as Lennon.

Thought he played realy well, defendind is shit, doesn't track his marker. The thing i liked about him was he wanted the ball, he wanted to take on his man. He gave the players around him an option, something our midfeild didn't do all night

Looked more likely then Jenas ,Zok ,Hud ,and Steed together to create something. Play him he cant be worse then these so called class midfielders. Our defence is sound, our strikers are top rate , our midfield is very poor. I wouldnt cry if next season none of them were in the first team line up. IMHO we will never make a challenge for the top league places until we replace if not all at least three of them. Maybe Adel could be one iof their replacements.

Interesting point I would like to make Taarabt came on in the 73rd minute and then did actually get on the ball until the last 5 minutes. Didn't really have the sort impact needed from a sub.

Yes, he was the Invisible Man for about ten minutes. What he finally did was pretty good, and he seems to have learnt the meaning of the word 'pass'.

He should definitely be given more playing time, it's just so obvious he had talent. The best bit was when he was on the right wing, had nowhere to go, turned back, and then somehow held off 3 or 4 of their players before getting into the middle and passing it. So many players would have just lumped it aimlessly forwards, or lost the ball when closed down. His close control is fantastic. Not the finished article, granted, but I can't see why we wouldn't give him time ahead of, or all least as a sub for, any one of our midfielders.
