In the same game Balotelli burst into tears on the bench apparently. Tried to hide his face behind his jacket.
ok, if he was abused fair enough but what is it with blokes and the water works? Whenever you turn on the tv now there is some male crying on tv.

Not sure he was actually racially abused, seems it might just be one of those Twitter rumours that everyone has latched on to. None of his teammates or even Seedorf have mentioned anything like that, and Abate said in an interview that Balotelli was upset because they were losing.
Anyone want to let me know why I got two Spam ratings for this post?

Seedorf:
"We are players and there are times when we express ourselves that way. I see nothing wrong or abnormal in that. I experienced it at times too," the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
"He too needs to grow in general. He played very well against Cagliari, while tonight perhaps didn't make the most of the space. These are things we can all improve on and I'm happy he has so many areas to improve, as I can help him through that education."

Abate:
"Mario really cares about doing well with Milan and making his mark. He is sentimental. It's a shame that he got so downhearted about it, as he needs to keep his head up."

Like I said, don't think racism had much to do with it, pretty sure it was just a Twitter rumour that most of the footballing community latched on to.

I thought that he went there on loan, if there is a fee, it won't be that much.

Fancy that. Did he honestly think Italy had changed that much since he left for Man City?

That country is a disgrace and the authorities will do nothing.
Lets not paint the whole country with the same brush as however many mindless ignorants lest we be just as bad as those we condemn

I loved Adel, it's a shame we never saw more of him. His run against West Ham and Arsenal at home (I think he set Modric free and should have squared it to Keane) were my favourites. For such an exciting player he never really got much of a chance.

Adel, Bostock and Dos Santos I will forever be scratching my head about. Loads of excitement over them but ended up being left extremely disapointed :(

its crazy that stuff still goes on in Europe at sports venues. If I had to hazard a guess, Id say you just havent had enough exposure. Here in the States with our history of slavery the exposure is there. So you never hear of this sort of things from the fans in sports. OTOH, a black man can still be dragged behind a pick-up in East Texas. So Id say that even though you have just begun to scratch the surface it doesnt get any better.

Slavery was rife in Europe too. It just got fashionable (and more economic ) to employ servants here and trade guns, labour and goods across the the ocean.

Aye it was bollocks, hence there being absolutely nothing about racism from Balotelli, Milan or Seedorf post-match. Power of social media though, a lie can travel around the globe 100 times before the truth has even got out of bed, let alone chosen pants to put on. Here's a little article about it: http://www.football-italia.net/44994/behind-balotellis-tears
