Plays for AC MilanWhat's happening with ricardo Rodriguez by the way?
He was the greatest LB of all time in SC-land for a good couple of years. Didn't fulfill his potential?
He's currently AC Milan's first choice LB. He's had a decent season for club and country - he hit the winning penalty against N. Ireland to send Switzerland to the WC.What's happening with ricardo Rodriguez by the way?

i know mourinho ruins a lot of players, what manager that's been in the game as long as he has hasnt? But Shaw seems bit of dickhead and deserves his share of blame for his predicament as well. Also his injury record is a big concern. We can do better imo.
He’s a solid keeper, but would have real trouble playing it out from the back with his feet. People on here give Lloris stick, but this would be an accident waiting to happen.Cant believe I'm even suggesting this but considering the home grown situation we could do a lot worse then signing ben foster on a 2 year deal.. Experienced home grown prem keeper who will leave wesr brom
It would have to be a real knock down price to make Shaw appealing. And if he didn't come in at the beginning of the transfer window you may as well write him off for the first season. If any player needs a poch preseason, it's him.
Agree on your closing, but not your opening. When you are paying 50m on a youngster, they have to offer more than what he does imho. There are ridiculous youngsters in Germany, France and Spain, that are between the ages of 18-19, that has a lot more, and could cost is a lot less. Unfortunately I won’t be naming names. There is no hint in that.
Malcom, I have rated for a good 2 years, and was hoping we could nick him. So now the hype came out. Moura, you watch him next season. He is a PLAYER.
What score and assist ? The kids got 14 goals and 5 assists. I am a huge fan of French and German integration and agree, there are young players out there with plenty of potential, but there aren't too many 17yo's that are producing what Sessegnon is actually producing - end product - at his age right now. In Germany and France there is only one player under 20 who's produced more goal/assists than Sessegnon and that's Mbappe (13g/8a) and even he's scored one less goal than Sessegnon, playing for PSG. next closest is Bailey (Leverkusen) who's 20 (three years older) and has 5 less goals and the same assists.
I agree, 50m is silly money for a 17yo, but he's already proven he can produce consistently in a tough league, and he's also "home grown" for the rules. I hoped we'd take him last summer for half that, I think we really fucked up there, but I do think the kid has the character, mentality and ability to succeed. I hate seeing us chuck money away on stupid purchases, but I think Sessegnon will be a success. Maybe not a Bale type success, but at the very worst a Mane type success. If we don't buy him now, at 50m, I'll understand why, but I won't be too pissed if we do chuck that on him, because I think in this market, he could easily justify that fee in a year or two.
I've watched loads of Moura over the last few years, including seeing him live, he's got a shimmy on him, which will please the crowd, and he can create but his end product can still be a bit hit and miss. And this is a much tougher league. And in his entire time at PSG, playing for an outstanding team against mostly vastly inferior opposition, he's still never had a season as productive as the one Sessegnon is currently having. I know it's the championship, but it's a tough league, and he's not playing for a team with any advantage.
We fucked up when we didn't bother to sign sessegnon last summer. Now we wont or cant sign him ..

Sincere question: How many of you raving about Sessegnon have actually watched a Fulham match? I've seen a few matches and Sessegnon definitely has something but for 50m I'd expect a seventeen year old to have magic in his boots. I just don't see that.
Seems like it's a lot of hearsay and stats that have built the hype around Sessegnon and his age of course. As seen before it's to not ideal to draw to many conclusions based on stats when the player in question plays in an inferior league. Remember that Janssen scored goals for fun in the dutch league and most of us were excited to sign him. I'm going to be honest I never saw a match with Janssen in the dutch league but if I would have I might have been a tad less excited. He has a knack for scoring goals but that doesn't automatically translates in to success in a better league. Similarly Mitrovic scored goals for fun in Anderlecht, couldn't really live up to the hype in the premier league and is now on fire in the Championship.
That said, I hope we can sign Sessegnon but for 50m it's just to risky. Further more Sessegnon has been playing as a winger in a a lot of matches and seems to be more suited for that or a wing back role. We're looking for someone play LB, that means being good both defensively and offensively. That's also a concern in my opinion.
Ones without a mountain of cash involved.Of course chucking a huge mountain of cash is a risk - what transfer isn't?
Agreed, but he could also get injured or just not be good enough. We could be looking at him in five years playing in the FA Cup for Woking and laughing at the bullet dodgedWhat mitigates it to a large extent is his age and his development to date. We could easily get a decade of service out of him which equates to 5m per season. Wing backs have been instrumental in our upward trajectory of late and transfer fees have gone totally crazy. Sessegnon could well be a future star and in 5 years time we could be saying 'why didn't we sign him when he was only 50m?'
There really isn't. Ratio must be at least 5:1Also, for every Janssen or Mitrovic there's a Vardy - it's just a case of picking the right one, and like Vardy, Sessegnon has played in the English leagues.
