The fact he plays for England means I always answer phone calls expecting it to be he call to give me my first cap. Terrible playerIf we're raiding West Brom (and I have no idea why we would), let's bring Jake Livermore back!
We’ve been told over and over and over that we’re changing our wage structure this summer and that we’ll be strengthening the squad.
As ITK has alluded to this could be a busy summer. We’ve a fantastic 1st XI and some very strong squad players but we still lack quality in depth in a couple of key areas. Football is a squad game these days and given the gulf between 2-4 and Man City, the only way we’re going to close the gap and challenge them is if we strengthen the squad.
With regard to Toby we’ve also been told it’s not about the money, he wants trophies... despite that being feasible with us he’s coming across as wanting trophies guaranteed with little to no effort required (PSG, Bayern, Juventus, Barca, Man C etc).
Yes Bale’s on insane wages but we’re assuming he’ll want equally mad wages to return to the EPL. Look at Rooney at Everton, still on good money but not at the level he was receiving at Man U.
Does anyone not think that Sessegnon can improve the parts of his game that he is lacking in...I mean he is only 17?
Serious personal question. No agenda, or hints. Please explain the hype to Ryan Sess...
I just don’t get it. I actually believe there is far better out there for less. I don’t mind 25m risk, and even that is expensive, but 50m. Nope all day from wheat I have seen this season.
Have you not been paying attention to the amount players go for now?I’ll bet the fee is nowhere near £50m when he leaves Fulham.
It will be lumpy, but I just can’t see it being anywhere near that figure.
£27m MAX.
No way Fulham will sell him for £27m.I’ll bet the fee is nowhere near £50m when he leaves Fulham.

Oh for sure there is every chance that he could, I just feel 50m for 17 year old unproven Prem player a huge gamble.
Maybe these are the risks we have to take to continue mixing it with the big hitters. It would sit more comfortably with me if he had a season or two of Prem football under his belt, but of course, if he excelled we'd probably not be an option, left instead in the wake of those who could offer extortionate package to secure.
Maddison looks a player, what's his latest supposed fee... £25m. Yes he's what, 4 years older and different player, but that said I don't see Sess as worth double or as influential in games. Maybe harsh comparison because of different roles but highlights difference in value.
People can maybe cite the fact that Sessegnon is only 17 so sell on fee has to be factored in, but let's not forget it's a two way thing, he's a prospect and is going to need alot of coaching.
Why would Fulham compromise? If not us some one will pay 40mil+No way Fulham will sell him for £27m.
If there's going to be a compromise it should probably be a £20-25m base fee with add-ons such as appearances, goals, England caps, cups etc. taking the fee to something like £50m.
I can't see Fulham dealing for anything less than that.
I can't see how we can add another attacking AM style player without selling someone or seriously pissing off the other ones.
Looking at our attacking options I fail to see where he'd fit in. If we were buying him as a LWB, there are better and cheaper candidates out there who can contribute consistently throughout a 90 minute PL or CL game. from what I've seen of him I don't believe Sess will. His status seems to have been hyped, and that's what his value reflects - hype. The 14 goals are largely tap-ins from goal-hanging - that's not how Poch would play him, surely? With Poch's track record I think it's a gamble that we should take personally. People say £50m is a lot of money but the final fee won't cost that much, that's just where Fulham want to start negotiating at but even if we spend around £40m on him it's not as if we need to spend the money elsewhere or in desperate need to upgrade other areas.
