One of those annoying twats who sees himself as a Liverpool player even though he played more than twice as many games for Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa, and more for Coventry, Leeds and Wigan.

Isn't that rather typical that you are being labeled by biggest club that you've played for?

I always liked that about Vertonghen when we went back 3, he was always good at making those runs forward and adds another dimension to the attack
Time and place though right? This weekend, home against Palace? - sure. Away at Anfield when we've just been shipped 6 goals for fun - you probably want to limit that a bit.

It depends on the mentality as to whether the first thought is not concede another or get a goal back. He was unlucky with his shot off the post to be fair and that puts us back in the game. We have enough defence minded players out there to cover the space left behind when he goes forward. He probably gets annoyed at the lack of intent so take matters into his own hands.

Yea, that's the bit I have a little issue with. And don't get me wrong it's nowhere near a pile on scenario, more of a wince. We can't defend at the mo, and I guess I'm thinking we could do without the one defender who can being out of position. Let one of the other 2 push on if needed. I don't want to see Dier/lenglet 1 on 1 on counters, especially if we start playing a higher line.

It is a scenario/personnel thing though, as if we were playing well and dominating possession, I probably be agreeing with you.
