I just booked a ticket to go and watch the Stoke match next month and I got tickets in East Upper Block A and it says they're restricted views.

Just how restricted am I going to be?

Been there many a time MM. Not too bad at all really, the part of the pitch that is restricted view because of the two pillars holding up the East Stand roof you can see on the Jumbotron. In fact I've got quite an affection for that part of the ground 'cos I've been there so many times.

These two pillars, the one nearest the camera is the one that will be in your way. You'll be a lot further away than this though!

Yeah, I went to watch the Cheltenham match and I sat in Block G and there was a pillar blocking the halfway line part of the pitch but it wasn't too bad.

Great atmosphere in the East Stand as well.

I'm going to the Stoke game and will be in block H, row 7, interestingly enough, only 2 out of 3 of the seats I booked were restricted view.

I sat in row 6 for the Chelski game and it was absolutely cracking.

The pillars will be blocking all or part of the goal, but as people have said it's not really a big problem as you should be able to see it on the big screens anyway.

Obviously not ideal to have a pillar in the way, I've done it three times in the east stand. You kind of get used to it after the first few minutes.

Don't expect great atmosphere in Block A though, wrong end of the East Stand. I'm in block D and it's already tailed off by then.

Anyone been on restricted view seats in Block 30, East Stand? I'm quite far up in the block....

How far back? I'm in Block H on Saturday, so just above block 30, and the view is pretty awesome from the first few rows there.

Row 22, immediately after the entrance on the left - though bloody dithered over restricted view and one of the two tickets got sold. Will have to wait for the next ones to pop up (fingers crossed). Cheers for the feedback anyway..

Agreed and the shelf side always has a good atmosphere unlike some of the other stands with thier miserable fans

Just curious, how much did you pay for them? I sat in a restricted view seat a few years back while visiting London and I thought the pricing was obscene.... but i was only in town for a week so i coughed up the cash.
