Does anyone know if we have any players selected for any of the Home Nations U18 Centenary Shield squads?

I think someone (their manager?) Said they had too many players

So no idea why either wanted this loan to go ahead... But another of their loans was at least, in the same position
Their manager is our former player Johnnie Jackson.

Scarlett and Devine need loans to develop.

we should have loaned kwp and if we had, he would be our first choice rwb imho.
Scarlett and Devine are very much on the young side to be loaned out in my opinion. They probably need a season or so at the club before being loaned out. I mean they are still technically academy players. It sounds like Scarlett is developing quite nicely here by what Conte is saying.

Kwp probably would be our first choice RWB, but that's probably more of a sign of our weakness there than his strength. Ultimately, KWP did better than most players of his ability in the youth teams do. He's a massive success in terms of what we have produced here. He is still a bit soft defensively mind.

I wonder if it's potentially attitude and/or injury related as he's been featuring for their U23 side.

For all the talent he clearly has I was not impressed at all with his attitude when he featured in the Conference League play-offs. I distinctly remember him playing some poor passes and touches and pouting each time rather than attempting to win back the ball. Not exactly the best way to break into senior football.
Ahh. The body language expert. Lots and lots of reasons why players don't play on loan. Can be attitude, sure. But can also be not being able to/not having the requirements to fit the system. It can also be that the team is settled or the other players are showing more. Mason didn't kick a ball when he went to Lorient for example.

John is still very very young. Going to Charlton can be a learning experience if he treats it right, even if he doesn't get a single kick of the ball.

Unfortunately, loans can also have negative effects on players, it can affect confidence and players can also pick up bad habits.

But this is a test of his mentality really. And that can certainly be beneficial.

Fair enough. It's probably unrelated. Just trying to postulate his situation as he looks prepared to play for Charlton to me.

I do remain unimpressed by his effort during that cameo for us, but don't think that makes him a poor attitude player, per se.

Isak Solberg hasn't played a game of football in three years, how is he still getting picked for Norway?

One of the really really odd situations in our academy. But then I guess someone thought Aaron Skinner could play football so not much surprises me.

They appear to rotate but I really wish Lo-Tulata would just be given an extended run. Oluwayemi out of contract in the summer so be interesting to see what will happen. Kacper Kurylowicz also out of contract and currently not getting a game for Potters Bar.
