Just nice to see the players on the ball enjoying themselves. Quality as swung from the silky smooth to Tim sheerwood just attack everything 100% philosophy but enjoyed that first half.

Enjoyable half. Haven’t been too many of those. Let’s hope they keep it up in the second half and don’t drop off.

Good first half. Dominated the game and got the lead. Now we need to get the 2nd and 3rd goal in the 2nd half to kill the game.

can see Dele’s confidence coming back slowly.

looks like he’s toughened up physically too. on the face of it, quite promising.

I don’t like that I’m feeling this way but I’m so detached from Spurs right now; I didn’t react at all to us scoring. I can see that we’re not playing that badly but it’s been nothing special. Obviously, though, the way things are is to be expected given everything that’s happened... I know RM isn’t going to get us playing like we were 3 seasons ago. Still sucks.

I just want us to get our act together behind the scenes, and set us up for some new-season-optimism come August.

EDIT: for anyone who sees this post after FT and is shaking their head... we have to remember that this was the worst team in the league with a caretaker manager. Naturally I’m happy with the emphatic result, but we’ve got a long way to go to get bums off seats again consistently. It’s a nice step in the right direction though.

Is that the first time since dembele got injured vs Wolves that we have seen a first 11 in a formation where each player is in their most comfortable position

Good half Aurier done well and Le Celso knitting midfield together nicely
That’s perfect way to describe gio he knits things together. He’s actually quite like modric when he signed abs people didn’t rate him early on, the more he plays with us the more fans will see just how quality he is.

It's a shame we couldn't get a run of games under Mason before the cup final. City are just such a beast of a team to come up against when you're trying to find some structure and form.
