Poch really should have started with VAR up front. We would have got a pen and they would have finished with 10 men

llorente is just not mobile enough in my view.

I was surprised he was played. It's fine when he is up against normal sized defenders and Llorente's height gives him such an advantage, but surely a smaller quick player is likely to be more effective.

Llorente was atrocious. These extended minutes are catching up with him
Completely agree. He was lethargic and careless all game long. So many times you'd see him either not challenging for a cross or very slowly reacting to the play around him. Made it very difficult for the players around him to feed off of his lay offs.

I really feel sorry for Vinny, though. How he can watch a forward play like that and not wonder just how lowly his manager estimates his ability... as I think you'd find a vast majority of center forwards in the PL would've done better than Fernando tonight. Vinny I'm sure looked at what was going on and thought.... I certainly can't do any worse than that.

Some of you are sounding like David Luiz...

They came with a game plan and nearly executed it perfectly

Making us look poor and reducing us to pot shots for most of the game fortunately one of those flew in with a worldy.

You have to beat what is in front of you , some teams will come to just get a point and you can't fucking moan about it.

I worry about having llorente up top against ajax. Poch may need to go completely different there.

Hopefully Poch learned after tonight Son MUST play centre up top vs. Spammers, and Llorente only as the "break glass in emergency" option
I think (hope) his thinking was that out of the WH, Brighton and Ajax game that this was the game most suited for him.

Hopefully it's better vs WH and we can look forward to the semis

It's a bit hard for Nando to do anything with two big, physical lads either side of him the whole match...who both had a good game.

Fuck me, you lot are harsh as fuck.

Thought the ref was terrible tonight
Was a weird ref. He seemed a bit complacent at times. And it might be my imagination, but I can't recall a ref physically getting in the way the number of times he did. Our players looked like they were often having to work around him. Bad enough Brighton had 10 players parked on their 18 yard box... also had to get past the chuffing ref as well!
